Wait a minute! That link gives you another address where you can send cards. The Red Cross will screen the cards and then pass them on to soldiers. For some reason, I can't cut and paste the mailing address, but it's in that link above.

If you all want to something for a vet you can always go to the local VA in Long Beach to help or bring some stuff over. I know that some of the older vets Viet Nam era are still in those VA hospitals and many of them don't have too much (family, money).

    Making a difference

Here is another way you can make a difference.

I've been to these orphanages and the kids faces light up when they see you. They really appreciate you taking the time to spend the day with them.

Maybe we as STR can fill up a bus sometime and spend the day with them. It's something you won't forget. Doesn't have to be Christmas.

This Saturday, December 8th Corazon de Vida heads south of the border with 5 busses. We are bringing food, fun, love and holiday cheer to 6 homes! If you are joining us you are in for a special day! If you would like to join us there are still a few seats left on the Door of Faith and La Roca/Grace bus.

A huge thank you to all of you who have helped CDV and the children this year. This Saturday's trip is our 5th Annual Holiday Pledge Drive. We currently are at 28% of our $50,000 goal! January and February can be very tough months for CDV and the homes as costs for propane, gas and clothing increase as the temperature drops. The Holiday Pledge Drive helps us cover the shortfalls.

Simply click on the link below and make a donation to the overall pledge site or pick one of the many volunteer pledge sites under Fundraiser's Pages. Any amount will help.
