    Hi All

The family and I are headed to Yellowstone next week and we will be there for 7 days. Does anyone have any recommendations for some good ride routes? I have never been there before and sometimes it can be difficult to find the good stuff on the web. I'm really looking forward to getting about 4 or 5 rides in while there and some good climbs are definitely on the menu! Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

    Thanks!
    Jake

Don't put too much weight behind this response but I'm almost certain you can't ride the trails at Yellowstone. I think national park trails are hiking only. Hopefully someone who knows for sure will chime in.

Outside the East entrance, going towards Cody is a place called Pahaska Tepee (Buffalo Bill's old hunting lodge.)
There are some horse trails there that you can ride. Mostly flat, but OK.

Down in Cody there is a bike shop (Absaroka?) with a map of area trails that you can buy.

When I went we went to Jackson to ride, there are great trails there but bring bells and pepper spray. I almost ran into a couple of moose and luckily they didn't get startled, it just stared at us for 10 minutes while we waited for them to move off the trail.

Call Teton Mountain bike Tours. He's good guy and will take you on some pretty good single track that is just outside of the parks. (800) 733-0788.
