    C'mon, Traci. It's a little funny. Give us men a little credit for being retarded. :lol:

    As far as goals, my only goal is to be as handsome, as skinny, as sexy, as fast and as cool as Neil. Is there more to life then that. :lol: ;)

    my only bike goal is the same as always. Just to have fun. Due to an injury I would say I did not meet my goal as good as I would have liked.

    So I'm looking forward to next year and putting this one behind me.

    Now on the work side. I am happy with the growth of my business. I have more product to offer and my sales numbers are up from last year. I'm not setting the world on fire but, in todays times I'm pretty stoked about it.

    My goals i set late last year (and results):
    1. Get my flabby a$$ in better shape. (Was down 17 pounds at my lowest weight of the year. Have packed on some el bees since getting injured in October, though.)
    2. Change my lifestyle: eat right; drink less; move more. (varying degrees of success here :drunk:)
    3. Be the best Daddy i can be. (Hope I've accomplished this.)
    4. Be the best hubby i can be. (Ditto)
    5. Avoid the ER and, more so, the OR. (So far, but my six-week-old hand injury is still giving me trouble.)

    IMHO, This is the most important goal in this whole thread. Please do your very best.

    Tomorrow I am giving the Eulogy for my Wife's Beloved Father, a very special man, the world was a better place with him here, and along with me, he was her best friend.

    I say this not for sympathy but as a message of desire, Please quit smoking! When you die of lung cancer it is very hard on the people that love you.

    Good Luck.

    So sad to hear about your dad in law, bvader. My condolences.

    =============

    In MTB/STR terms, I had but ONE simple goal in 2008 (in three easy to use parts):

    1. I wanted to roll 5 laps in the January 12 Hours of Temecula race (DID!);
    2. 6 laps in June (FAIL! I broke my wrist in March, so was just out of the cast a week prior to the June race, dammit -- just not ready to use it all by that time); and
    3. 7 laps in November (MASSIVE FAIL! I'd barely made it out of the starting gate when my body gave up on me... I rolled a measly 3 laps, and that hurt like hell I tell ya).

    So, maybe I can improve on all that next year. I think the pivotal idea is that I have to stay healthy in order to achieve any goal. :?:

    In any case, I am thinking of starting slower again and working up to the 7 laps. That's a lot for me in a day. I turn 50 in a few weeks for chrissake.

    PERSONAL HIGH POINT OF THE YEAR? Rolling with Neil's American Idols team in the 24 Hours of Adrenalin race at Hurkey Creek in late April. That is something I will never forget.

    All da best,

    shud

    My one and only goal for '08:

    Began a quest for 24 solo...and did just that! It's all in the blog if you feel like wasting away a couple of hours!

    Other things that came in the process (thankful):

    Shored up some solid friendships.

    Established sponsorships.

    Finished second in a Pro catergory....wtf?!

    Had some great group rides.

    Got engaged!
