Does anyone know if SRAM X9 trigger shifter replacement levers are available separately or do I need to buy a complete shifter?

Not sure, but you may be able to call or email SRAM and see if they can send you a replacement lever. Or maybe the LBS can do that.

They have a parts listing on website so assume can get separate (altough may have to go through LBS/dealer).

    http://www.sram.com/_media/pdf/sram/dealers/SRAM_Sparepartscatalog_mtb_MY07.pdf

please post up results as i have a pair of 0's and 9's and would be interested in what response is...thanks

agreed, would hit them up first - perhaps under warranty

Might want to check your LBS Craig. I had an older X9 front shifter seize on me and the Path swapped it with a new X9 (old X.0) no problems. I think they had to call SRAM first to get the okay but saved me the hassle having to ship anything to SRAM.

i've tried to replace mine craig, but to no avail. I still don't know how the heck the levers on mine bent, but they were. I just ended up getting new 07 models for pretty cheap on ebay from ride-this.com

the good thing is my new bike won't have any shifters or derailluers to break :bang:

Thanks for the replies. I'll check around. I doubt it would be warranty since my knee broke it off. I hate to buy a new shifter set when all I need is the lever.

Bring them in to me at Adrenaline Bikes. I will have sram send out a new one for you, usually about 1 week and they will probably give you 2007 for replacements.

My 9 speed trigger was bent and bought a broken one to use trigger part only and I am having hard time putting it back together. So I took it to LBS and owner is like "dude, you don't take that a part". He told me I am due a new trigger. But there are people selling trigger part only on ebay. Does anyone know how to guide? I don't think this LBS will make it happen. I told'em to give me a qoute but if he ask more than $10, I won't be too happy and will never put my foot down at that LBS.

If you can't do it yourself, I wouldn't complain about anything under $40. If I was a shop owner, I wouldn't even write up repair order for $10.

I was told that id wouldn't want to take them apart. too many springs and little parts in them. I have been told by evey LBS that I went to , to just buy new shifters. about $40 a piece. so for now, I'm just dealing with a bent shift that get's stuck occasionaly
