Sounds like a real winner... had just been released from jail hours earlier... then went and crashed daddies Porsche... what a dumb ass. And 32 years old too... it would be one thing if you're 22. But 32!? Come on... gimme a break... sounds like someone needs a good ass kicking...

    It gets even better:

Whitaker had been arrested on Dec. 9 on suspicion of stealing several motorcycles.

Whitaker was sentenced to 60 days in jail and three years of probation in 1998 after pleading guilty to a charge of possessing/manufacturing/selling a deadly weapon.

He also was sentenced to a year in jail after pleading guilty in 1998 to receiving stolen property. In 2000, he was sentenced to 16 months in state prison after violating parole on the stolen property charge.

I would believe that but in one of the articles, the dad turned the son in for stolen bike and dealing drugs.

Makes me wonder if he stole the Porsche too. I'm so happy I don't have kids.

According to sheriff officials, the car is owned by Whitaker's father.

Arrest records show Whitaker had been released from Theo Lacey Jail early Monday morning, just hours before the crash.

At 9:10 p.m. Sunday, police received a call from Whitaker's father, who said he was concerned his son could be selling drugs. He also said six motorcycles on his property could be stolen, sheriff's Deputy Richard Nelson said.

Oh yeah, I saw that. I gotta think that Dad wasn't stupid enough to say, "Hey, take the Porsche out!" but you never know...

Check out the skid marks right before the car hit the curb and went airborne... Clearly it was spinning on its axis before this happened. A classic case of rear-engine Porsche lift-throttle oversteer. :)

Porsches must be very safe cars. Whenever the speeding Ferraris hit trees they split into 2 and everyone dies.

Yep his prior jail commitments sure changed the way he behaves...I am sure that if we just keep him jail longer when he gets out he will have learned his lesson. This is not a guess but a fact, 80% of all the cases in OC Courts the underlying issue is a substance abuse problem that does not go away when someone is in jail and may escalate when sent to prison. Wish there where better answers out there but things are the way they are. I am convince that treating people disposable and throwing them in jail has not worked and does not work. Don't get me wrong many need to be locked up maybe he is one of them but reading the case from the info the newspaper gives us is not a good way to judge someone. From what I have seen once someone has been in prison for more than 10 years they should never be let out.

Prison teaches criminals to become better at their craft.
