You don't want to miss this one. This race is going to be the stuff of legend. There is a lot of action here:

Steve Peat going for the gold, chasing the world champs dream that has eluded him for so long.

The return of Lopes to downhill aboard a new Ibis gravity sled.

American dream Aaron Gwin. He could do it.

    Mick Hannah faster than ever.

World champs assassin, Fabien Barel on winning form after a near career ending injury early in the season.

Trek World Team with wind tunnel research and a fresh new team in Leov, Neethling, and Mosely.

Then let's not forget the likes of Sam Hill and Brendog Fairclough. Fast boys for sure.

Oh, and what of defending champ, Gee Atherton the "Vulcan Bomber". He's not been particularly sharp, but he's still top of the heap.

Others to watch are Kovarik and Blenkinsop. Bryceland might be able to put the smack down, too.

Finally, Minnaar is always a threat.

    Wow.

In 4X, we might see Gravesy get his deserved title yet.

    Don't miss it.

Remember it's in Australia so the time is off. It's tomorrow today (figure that out!).

I am surprised how little attention this event is getting on this site. If you're not watching this event tomorrow then you should sell your mountain bike or expect to get completely roosted by me personally anytime I see you on the trail or riding your fixed gear bike.

BTW the timed runs mean jack crap from what I can tell. Everyone seems to be playing their hands very close to their chests--not revealing anything. It's a trip.

I think everybody's still watching the Station Fire thread, but with good reason, though.

Everybody should know I'm the biggest Peaty fan, and I know he fumbled at the very end of the race last year, but Minaar had a big gap at that race and took the win. And he's hot still this year, so he may be the guy to get gold. But damn...I REALLY hope Peaty takes it.:bang::bang::bang::bang::bang:

Mic Hanna was pinning it in practice, guess we have to wait and see.

Chris Kovaric was fast but pretty rough.

I will be pullin' for Nick Beer. Not just because he rides a Gambler but how can you not like a rider with the last name Beer?

I also think Barel will throw down a sick run since this is the event he has been training for all year.

I'd love to see Peaty finally get the stripes, but I think Minnaar and Hannah are going to be tough to beat. I'm also pulling for Rennie to get a good result.

Hill may have something up his sleeve...

Wrong...I would rather and plan on riding in the Aspens in Flagstaff than staying home watching a computer screen....even if I had to ride a fixed gear bike.
