Looking for a new work stand for the house. I like the clamp on the Park and base on the Ultimate. Does anyone make one that has these 2 features??

yes. tripod base. I don't care for the clamp Park uses on that model however.

Looks like the Ultimate Pro Elite has a revised clamp mechinism.

    Anyone have one? Feedback?

How do you go about doing that? How do you rig it to keep your board or skis level???
There are some pretty sweet portable wax benches on http://www.reliableracing.com/ but quite a bit on the pricey side.

not sure yet, plans are plans and don't always work. But I think a bar with maybe some old boots at the end that will go into the bindings, the key to keeping it level would be the clamp keeping the bar stable. I assume this will be ok since I can crank on stuff pretty good when working on my bike. I separate stand would be cool, but like you said pricey, and I don't have the room...
