Get thick wool socks, and toe covers, booties if you're going to ride in the rain.

Smartwool and Icebreaker long sleeve thin wool shirt and a waterproof, breathable jacket.

I like Pearl Izumi leg warmers, all the other ones I tried didn't feel comfortable behind the knees.

Pearl Izumi ear covers or skull cap.

If you're commuting in the rain it's worth it to buy good waterproof, breathable jacket and pants like Goretex or eVent.

Performance has a ton of stuff to choose from, use that coupon someone just posted for 25% off.

Today I got caught in the rain with a non-waterproof jacket and my regular shoes. My feet and core stayed warm because wool still insulates when wet.

You can get smartwool and icebreaker on steepandcheap.com
