    1. cows make lousy speed bumps

    B. they eventually make the weed problem/fire danger worse. not that it could get much worse out there.

If you haven't been following this thread you should check it out. John Rowe has responded to our emails with his plans. If we are persistant and keep positive communications with the park mgt, I think the trails could be clear before the summer heat. I have been accused of being naive.:)

The bridge is still out on sidewinder but you can simply walk around it. That bridge is not that significant. We have ordered all the lumber for the single track bridges that are out and hope to receive the shipment here any day. We will probably schedule some volunteer assistance on these projects because we will have to carry every thing to the sites. I'll keep you posted.

Positive communications. John Rowe is da man.:bang:
Sorry if I spoiled a good rant.

awesome. I would love to help.

I emailed him before and must have been dismissed as unimportant.

I'm glad things are slowly getting moving... (or promised to be coming...)

By positive communication I mean ass-kissing and shameless flattery of course. I remember how much the trails sucked last year. Let's hope this year in't a repeat.

    CH or alternate?

Darn! Tradersancho and I are heading out to the desert tomorrow and were hoping to ride CH on the way. Should we divert to Sycamore or Simpson? I was thinking Simpson would be nice one more time before it gets too hot in Hemet. What CH trails are currently decent. We have never ridden there. :?:

Most of the fireroads are clear, but the singletracks will be somewhat overgrown if not completely overgrown. If you ride the singletracks go slow, the brush will grab your bars and brakes and pull you off line.If it's thick enough you may not be able to see parts of the trail or whether your front wheel is going into a hole or rut.#-o- Lloyd

Nancy, SHARE does not have any work planned at Chino Hills. Unfortunately, we do not have a park representative at this time. I will find the ranger's name and contact him to see if we can schedule something. Due to our schedule for April, I do not believe that we will be able to do a project until mid May.

    Thanks, Ken Rands
