Americans looking after the best interest of our county could only dream that California would adopt such a law!

I will Gladly show proof of citizenship!

It's funny to see the opinions of people on this topic. Most of them have no clue what it means to become a citizen of this country or take it for granted. I am a US citizen that migrated here in 1989 from Portugal. My family waited 17 years from start to finish, before we were finally able to come to the US legally. As a Portuguese person I look very much like a Latino. If I were to make my way to Arizona I could get pulled over but I would gladly be willing to show proof of citizenship and would not be offended for being asked to do so. For all of you that say this needs to be about compassion, think about all the other countries in this world and those who have been waiting in line for an opportunity to be here, is it fair that others can cut in line by not following the rules. Where's their compassion? The issue isn't that the people of Arizona don't want immigrants, it's that they want them to be legal immigrants and not illegal.

Im going to say this simply

ITS ALREADY EFFIN LAW...... If your in our country, you are flatout required to ALWAYS have proof of either citizenship, or your EFFIN PASSPORT.....

We dont need new friggin laws on this shit, we need our agencies to grow some balls and friggin enforce what is already in effect.

And it was a few posts in when someone asked if they were the onl one offended by the comparission of nazi's to Americans.... Your not alone, Face to face if I was told a line of crap like that soeone is losing teeth.... If people dont like it here, GTFO!!!

Whats funny about this, I worked in Cat city for awhile, winter time tehre is quite the influx of Canadians there. Guess what..... They all have the proof of legally being in the country at hand.... ALWAYS.... wether it be a passport, or proof of dual citizenship, they always have it at hand........ and guess what, they are proud to have it at the ready, as the law requires....... Its not that big of a deal.

I seriously dont udnerstand why Americans are getting there panties so far up there ass with this...... Anyone who thinks this is wrong, needs to try to travel to any other country without carrying proper documentation with you everywere you go....... Report back as with what happens

When I leave the house, I have my ID, when I travel, I have my passport.

In fact, I don't like not having them with me.

    Real effin simple.

Barack hasn't read the bill, and he spouts off. The Phoenix Sun's head office either, so they sport spanish jerseys. Then there's the usual gang of suspects: Tony V. and Gavin Newsom in the sanctuary cities of LA and SF threatening boycotts, rallies, etc.

Our congress and executive branch swore to uphold the law and constitution. This law is virtually word for word what is on the books at the Federal level. Why everyone is screaming "discrimination" is beyond me. They're all ignorant buffoons.

If the feds just did what they're supposed to do, the state wouldn't have to make the same law at the state level so they can take action.

To the bleeding heart liberals out there: read the law and then realize how crazy you sound calling people Nazi's.

    Unbelievable.

The problem is that if this works in AZ then TX will pass the same law and California would be next and all illegals will have to leave. then the democrats will never hold office again.

so whats the big deal if you have to show proof if your legal and if your not your breaking the law

While I have tended to vote Dem, and it's a chance I'm willing to take, don't be too sure.

Everyday there is at least one GOP member that manages to secure their continually and most proficient marginality.

It simply states that current law must be enforced. If you don't feel law should be enforced, go to one of those 4th world countries where the local warlords will kill you if you don't do what they say. Let's see what you think about our law then.

If you come into this country and you disrespect it, then get the f&ck out. Plain and simple.

I come from a mixed background (Dad born here, Mom born in Panama). She came to this country legally, and she feels it's the best country in the world. So my feeling is this: If you are here legally, by means of citizenship, visa, whatever, please feel welcome and take the opportunites given to you by this great country. If you are here illegally, please leave.

"When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag, carrying a cross." - Sinclair Lewis :-k . Yes, seems all too familiar

Stop undocumented workers by penalizing the ppl who hire them... This bill in AZ = Hate. It's not an immigration debate at all. It's terrorization of the Latino population. But you cant say or call anyone a racist these days cuz then youre a racist.
