Why not every Thursday @Aliso?

Aliso in the evening is awesome. So lets take advantage of the late sunlight and make Thursday a regular ride.

We'll typically do a 90 minuet route at a decent pace. Were not doing any gnarly climbs or descents (yet), so this ride is great for everyone. We will keep a faster pace than most group rides, but we always re-group.

I encourage riders who aren't familiar with Aliso and riders who "think" their not fast enough, or good climbers, Etc...., to come join us.

I can only ride on Monday and Wednesday nights..... I have the grom on Tuesday and Thursday so the wife can do her jiu-jitsu

Sounds cool. Are you SSing? Cleaning Cholla on my SS would be an accomplishment. I just cleaned Mustard and also Whiting up to 4 corners. I may join you guys next Thu.

 

I do not bring the SS out for this ride. little to much flat for me.

What's the proposed loop? The reason I ask is because I may ride in from canyon vista park. Another option is to ride over on my cyclocross bike. All depending on the route...

 

Come join us for a 90 minute (or so) loop at Aliso Woods canyon. We meet at the main parking lot off of Awma and Alicia at 5:30pm and roll by 5:50ish.

I ride from the canyon vistas side as well.

My route is up cholla a few times to warm up, down rock it and coyote and to the brown church. Then we go up wood canyon to cholla. Up Cholla and along the ridge to TOW. Down Meadows. Part of the group goes to the brown church and I ride back to the canyon vistas park.

I did that exact ride last Thursday at it was 21 miles and 2300 feet climbing.

 

Is this the ride that is planned for thursday or is it the loop up cholla-TOW-meadows?

 

I think the loop is open for discussion.

I vote for up wood canyon, up Cholla, up to TOW, down Meadows and out to the Church.

I personally will be starting at milf park and adding a little before and after.

 

I'm down for whatever. we can figure it out in the parking lot while we wait for Joe, he's always late. (I went ahead and texted him this cause he's not on here and I feel bad talking behind someone's back)

This sounds good to me. It's a perfect loop for an after work ride.

 

Flyn, I get home kinda late (5-ish) otherwise I would start from milf park with you. This Thursday I will just ride the bike path over to the church. I can probably ride back with you to milf park.

Doug is planning to go on Thursday, he was talking about doing the ride from Crank Bros. but I would rather him do this instead.
