I am trying to remember the last time I did a 360 tailwhip on a 26er.............oh yeah, Never. #-o

But to each their own.

I really like my 29er.......still have my Heckler, just don't ride it very often.

Some guys just know that bigger is better; some guys are jealous. ;)

On the super steep uphills, I can feel a difference in the extra 10% effort to get up. But, my Niner more than makes up for it on the downhill and in sand (which we seem to have a lot of around here, especially during summer).

That's what she said... Sorry, couldn't resist. I didn't realize there was hate for 29er lovers. They're only wheels people, sheesh. ;)

Wow, thanks for the reality check... I feel calmer already :) A little female perspective goes a long way.....but then again, its not just the wheels, its the frame geometry, BB height, rotational blah blah blah....haha.

wow.. I thought this thread was about a video poking fun at the DH worthyness of a 29er.. (DH as in techy steep, chunkness and not a xc/fire road dh.) and not about the general reason why people ride 29ers..:-k

Well, Hobie kind of messed up by not making that clear in the 1st post, and most people just comment/debate after reading the title only. Plus methinks 29er riders have a touch or two of oversensitivity... :)

difference is in gear inches....... that is where the "precieved" differences in effort change.
