Went to the gym and spun out 25 miles; 940Kcals. It's hot out there. Moreso in the SFV. Stepped outside to 73* this am at 5:45. Decided to hit the bike rather than climb.

It's supposed to be in the high 90's/low 100s all week. Will have to start my ride at 5am to beat the heat tomorrow.

Ouch! - Strava needs to factor temperature into their "Suffer Score"

I just walked from my building to the parking lot and back. I think my suffer score is at least 500.

I'm beat & noticing that the longer the 'naps' afterwards - the worse I feel. Working outside & then riding gets complicated sometimes...and I live at the beach!

Moro in late afternoon FTW on days like this.

Sitting here thinking an easy lap or two around Back Bay is all I got in me today.

Nice n toasty out there - I also ran for my lunch break, through Peters Canyon. Got home, swam, and never stopped sweating for the next 45 minutes at least - good times! Tomorrow is my lunch time riding day - Santiago Oaks is going to melt my tires, no doubt!

I rode up to Forest Falls off Highway 38, starting in Redlands at about 11:00 am.

    That was extremely stupid.

Today is the day I planned to do a solo exploratory ride thru Quail Hill area and top of elMoro. Really bummed about the expected temps, so started at 7 AM and rode Quail Hill to Serrano, Upper Laurel, Fenceline, E Loop. W Loop, Fenceline, Bommer, Lizard, back to Serrano, then to Cabrillo, Nix, Stagecoach, W Cyn, Serrano and Quail. Surprised it wasn't unbearably hot! By myself I had the luxury of going whatever speed I was comfortable with and stopping whenever I felt like it. I've been there before on rare occasions with others, so never paid attention to where I was, just following the person in front of me. It was so nice to just follow my map and try to figure out where I was. It was an unexpectedly comfortable and pleasant ride on this hot day.
