Jensons Market in the town of Wrightwood sells Adventure Passes and I believe that they are open at 8am. We'll wait for you if need be.

Thanks for the options. My energy levels have been inconsistent lately. And the bugs can't be as bad as Trabuco Cyn.

Damn, I wish I could make this ride sounds like it's gonna be lots of fun and it's practically in my back yard. But like sxc70 I too will be at Ozzfest the night before :bang: Then on Sunday I have to go to San Diego.

Tell Sue Liz says thanks! Still, looks like I won't be camping so I'll be getting up really sickeningly early to do this ride.

So FFW and un-clipped will be carpooling with me...that leaves room for 2 more if anyone is interested. I'm in Sylmar off the 210 at the 118 and will cruise up the 210 jump on the 14 and meet at the Park n Ride off Pearblossom.

    ^^ Ah, now I'm all comfoosed... *_*

We live over two hours away from Wrightwood, maybe two and a half actually, so I was thinking we'd have to be up before the crows to make it up the hill to meet up for the ride with a start time at 8am, but if we make it a more normal morning and get up there for 10am will we get in a full ride if we start at 10 instead of 8?

    Tangs,

Eddie, is this ride pretty tandem friendly?
A friend of mine wants to know. He's a good rider.

I always get up BEFORE 6am on a Sunday... the ride time is later than usual (summertime) for me! Besides... I can't reschedule the trailside bellydancers.

MOST of the ride will be tandem friendly. There are some tight switchbacks and narrow trail (climbing out of Jackson Lake) that might need to be walked, but overall it just might be fun.

I saw that earlier, Todd. Thanks! But, I must stay in town on Saturday for an event. If we come up it will be with the roosters on Sunday morning.

I am planning on riding and will bring our tandem to along if I can talk my wife into going and we'll just walk the tight sections.
Been wanted to explore this area since we have never ridden there before.

I live in La Canada. What's the quickest way to get there?

Actually, if someone lives close by La Canada my preference would be to get a ride from someone. But if I'm driving by myself, what's the quickest way??
    Thanks!

I'd suggest mapquest (or GPS it). You are at the point where either going up the 14 to the 138 or out the 210 to 15 to 138 are about equal. Maybe hit up mtbgeo to carpool?? Parking might be a challenge.
