    Rattle snakes scare me. But tarantulas give me nightmares.

    What time? I work in till 6 locally, and can be there by 6:30-ish depending on 405 hell-traffic... Should leave for about an hour or 2 of riding.

    let me know.

    BTW you can pick Up tarantulas real slow from behind. Just scoop them up in your hand slow. They are harmless. There are few if any fatalities to humans. The most you will get is some discomfort " IF" they bite.

    I was planning on heading up there to check it out. Never been there before.

    I get off work @ 5:30 and can be up there by 6ish depending on traffic from Bundy/Olympic.

    Was planing on just doing some easy riding. However, I have done minor some trail maintenance in HI before and I can bring a shovel - but only if there is someone there who knows what they are doing to guide us.

    I would wait for the OK from Pavel (blender) or one of his associates before you move forward with any digging at the whoops - those guys put a lot of thought and consideration into the changes that are made and it shows in the build quality of most of the stuff out there.

    I'll be up there on Sunday with BH1 if anyone wants to meet us out there.

    haha cool. i saw one there a while back too. he was all calm until i scooped him up with a water bottle then he went into attack mode!

    I agree, last time I was there some dude was building a hip. it was the most finely crafted jump id seen. super smooth looking. i decided i should never touch anything up there with a shovel after seeing his work

    Just want to thanks to BH1 for meeting up with me there tonight. Didn't have much time as I did the whole loop instead of just going straight to the whoops, so I just cruised and observed. But that place is great! Reminds of a place I used ride as kid in the 60's/70's on my first bike (AMF Roadmaster).

    Major kudos the gang who have put so much work into that place. Give me enough notice and the next time you are in need of some help, I would gladly chip in.

    I think I'm gonna bring my wife's 26 next time I ride though, I'm not ready for that kind of air on my 29er yet.

    Thanks again to BH1 for the 411.

    Anyone have an extra brain bucket (helmet) they could bring up with them tomorrow? I thought I packed mine when I moved, but I can't find that shit anywhere! Those trails definately look well put together, a few things that do need repair, but nothing some water and a tamp won't take care of. A tamp is your best friends trail building...well...that is if you don't have a Bobcat or frontloader available :) Then I can really go to work, lol. See ya'll there tomorrow!

    I might be heading up this afternoon if anyone wants to go. Finially picked up some padding today at The Path, found some stuff that fit really well...and may have pulled the trigger on a new bike today off of pinkbike. Might be heading up next weekend to get it!

    I just got back from there tonight. Great riding! And who did I run in to? Kurt!! He's back! He was up there working on the hip earlier before I got there and we rode for about an hour or so. It was funny, usually I warm up on smaller stuff but he was like "just hit it, lets see what ya got!" so my first run of the day was at the big set. haha. Nothing like "warming up". Great confidence builder though, I guess. I predict in the next few days I'll be cleaning that 4 pack...... :-k
