Correct. They are concentrated on Gatos, but keep your eyes peeled cause the logs are all over...so are the right rocks. BMX ('short cut' to Nobel form BLT that misses Penny Pines) also has some features.

too bad we didn't merge for part of it...maybe next time...we must have just missed them

Ahhhh, so that was you guys I passed on the way up and down on Sat. However, I was in a car going back to the shuttle truck. I had that white intense m6 on top of the Audi.

    Epic!

WOW. Just WOW. I don't even think words can describe how EPIC this ride was for me! The descent down was seriously singletrack that dreams are made of! My new favorite trail in SoCal!

This was the first time ever I was really seriously dreading riding my bike. The entire week previous to the ride, I was nervous and REALLY didn't want to do it but I didn't have a logical reason not to do it, so I made myself do it anyway. I am SO glad I did! Longest ride I've ever been on (both miles (more than double the usual!) and time) but I also have to say, it was one of the BEST rides I have ever done!!!

I just wanna thank everyone on the ride for making it such an a memorable experience! Liz, you were AWESOME, thanks for your wise words on the way up to the oak tree and letting me follow your line on the exposed loose chunky part before Stairway to Hell! Thanks Genny for setting up the ride! Thanks Aquaholic for being so clear about what was coming up on the trail/ride (even little climbs, FINALLY a mtber who didn't lie (LOL!)) and most of all for doing all those crazy stunts on your rigid bike! Thanks to everyone who took pics (I carried my camera the entire time but didn't take a single shot) And thanks everyone for your patience, your encouragement, and your company! What a great group!

I do have to admit that I came the CLOSEST I have ever come to getting into a car with strangers... LOL on the way up to oak tree I was offered a ride up! Next time... I might just take it!

Oh and P.S. Potato Lady = HEROINE!!!!

That's a ride I've had on my list, just held back by the long drive. (Campover?) First goal is sessioning Waterfall on Indian Creek. I've seen a lot of pictures and videos (with Aqua) on that trail.

I rode by you guys in the meadow. I was one of the guys on the tandem with the kids on the back. My boy was scared (his first time on a tandem) but was still glowing yesterday about the adventure. I'm going back out there in June with guys so I can hit up the trail features on Los Gatos and ride all of Noble.
The weather was perfect and it was good to see STR out in force. We passed one group of riders that had about 30 people in it.

Looks like you grasshoppers had a lot of fun... but then that's always what happens when you go to Noble. I had Traverse duty and still recoverying from the back surgery. I get to start riding again (slowly) on Wed, yeah!!!

Lucky to run into Steve... I usually see him when he has a cast on.. riding the rigid! He makes everything look so easy. Can't wait to do Noble on the Tall boy!

BTW: Genny, good call doing Noble... it will get you in condition for Downvielle the end of June.

Thanks for the photos, looks like a blast. I've had Noble in the back of my mind for a while now, hopefully I can make it down there this year.

Anyone have final stats? Somewhere around 15 miles and 3000' elevation?

Doc says hold off on the "chunky stuff" for a while longer... probably be another month or so before I do technical rocky riding... let the back heal.

Waterfall is a bitch!... it still has some of my skin on it...

Yeah... but can your back stand it???

Somewhere in the neighborhood of 31 miles, but I don't know what elevation gain we had over the course of the ride, I don't have a GPS, so someone else who rode with one will have to give you those stats.

    I DON'T THINK SO!!!!! LOL

It was over 27 miles (prob around 30). I think only one gps got the entire ride (out of at least 4 that I know of).

Ken, can you post your gps data (total mileage, total ascent, total ride time, total moving time) when you get a chance? Thanks!!!
