Looking down at Four Corners last Sunday from about 1/4 the way to Modjeska Peak.

 

So you have ridden with Mario before? That is normally how we see him unless it is a loop, then we never see him after the start.

I am just kidding of course, while he is faster than 90% of the people I ride with he is good at waiting for the group unless he as to be somewhere.

 

Never have. We've talked about some rides. But then I started looking at his times and got that whole MTB guilt thing going.

Just looked at the current forecast for Sunday; it would appear that it's going to be perfect. Cool, partly cloudy with a high of 77.

 

Yeah, looks awesome. Definitely going to be at least two of us, and I have a couple of personal friends who are checking to see if they can make it.

 

My husband and I are riding the Fully Loop after the Swap Meet on Saturday or we'd be there (we're only allowed to ride one day out of the weekend per our kids). Ray (hubby), has never been to the peak but it'd be better if I took him alone; he doesn't get much saddle time these days so it would be an ultra-social pace.

In answer to your first question - Rox is the one on the single speed looking all full of energy. I am the one behind her looking not so full of energy

We are going to the peak Sunday morning. May just be two of us, but I'm hoping a couple more jump on the last minute.

 

Quick update... Don't forget Sunday morning is the Orange County Triathlon and they will be coming right up El Toro Road.

Good news - they don't start until 7 AM so we should be well on the trail by then.

Bad news - there will be Police all over the place and they will have half the road shut down. Drive carefully and if anyone tries to stop you tell them you live on Modjeska Canyon Road

You will have a blast, excellent ride overall. There was something on the trail this morning, could not make it out. Could of been mountain lion, moved really fast and dark but not as big as a deer and nothing small as a Bob cat. When I saw it, I kept moving. One more thing there was a white Tundra coming down the peak with no remorse and inconsiderate, another Jeep at a later time, with beer cans along the side. Stay safe..

 

I saw the white Tundra on MD after 4 corners. Did I see you right before the peak on a Motobecane hard tail?

 

They were going down so dam fast, i was positive they were going over, that is why i pulled out the camera. At the same time if anything, i was moving closer and closer, thinking i was going over or up to help. You could hear the suspension bottoming out of control. When they came by me, all three looked drunk. That would explain all the fresh cans of Drops from the creek beer that of Coors light up the Peak.

No that was not me, i had the Giant. Rode with him to 4 corners !
