So a friend brought up an interesting point a while back. Which age class should you compete in? Exactly how old you are, How old you're going to be that year, or just how old you feel?
Not that I don't believe you but do they have the rules online. I looked for a while last night and couldn't find them. Thanks
Just go to the usac web site and locate the Mountain Bike tab up top. Drop down box says rulebook, then go to: Mountain bike rulebook: http://www.usacycling.org/forms/MTB_rulebook.pdf
I believe it's how old you are in the racing calendar year when "worlds" are held in your discipline. For example, if you turn 45 in January 2009 before the cyclocross worlds are held, you race 45+ while your still 44. Hope this helps.
