Just finished up 10 yrs with the military, and most recently Iraq--

I'm here for school. I'm starting college at day 0 at Cypress, and looking to transfer to UCLA for Mechanical Engineering.

I ride my dream bike--a 1996 Litespeed Ocoee, and in the week I've been back Seal Beach is the only ride I've done.

I worked at Mulrooney's (Two Wheels One Planet) Cerritos Bicycles on South and Norwalk in Artesia from 1999-2000, and I used to ride Fullerton loop at least twice a week. I'm glad to hear it's still there.

Welcome to STR. Thank you for your service.

Lots of vets on here including myself(US Navy 83-89). We do 2 STR rides a year in honor of our service men & women. One to honor Veterans on Veteran's Day and the other to honor those who gave their lives in service to our country on Memorial day. On both occasions, we retire the old flag at the Luge and replace it with a new flag, Hope to see there this year.

    Welcome from Cypress/Irvine.

My Dad used to use Mulrooney's as his LBS back in the day. Now it's a paint shop. Heck, he might have even bought a bike from one of you two.

Thanks for your service and happy trails!

It's down in the OC at the foothills of the Santa Ana's. Here's a cool video of what it looks like.

The 1st part is a section of STT(Santiago Truck Trail) coming from Old Camp. The "Luge" descent starts at 1:32 and if you pause it there, you'll see the flag on the left.

Thanks for your service! I'm in Lancaster so if you ever want to ride the north LA county San Gabes (wrightwood area, Chilao, Devil's Punchbowl, Manzanita, Golden Eagle, Mt. Pinos) let me know. It would be a long day trip for you but there's some good ridin' up here!

    Welcome!

I used to go into that bike shop a lot.

I bought an ELF Double Cross from some guy named Dave who worked there. He got it from Bogi Givens, haha.

    I grew up in Cerritos

yeah! james is my hero--he put the mechanical engineering bug in my ear all those years back. and I worked with Chris B, and his brother Morgan started working with us later on. he was a trials rider. my manger was Ben C, and our mechanic was Troy--downhiller. that's awesome!

you're welcome! and that paint shop is shut down, now. when that storefront isn't full of bikes it just doesn't feel right.

hah I'm glad I name dropped

    A D NOH did you graduate from CHS? I'm c/o 2000

That's why I said "of your choice" I know there's a lot of people that dont drink alchohol.. Would still be my pleasure. Too bad we're not hiring for our La Palma office. The second floor has a full AM/PM soda machine and Icee machine.
