well im a roadie guy now but before i was a roadie i was on my mt bike and for the last couple of months ive seen my mt bike just sitting there taking up space so this year im trying to get out on some dirt trails as well and put some use to my mt bike so i joined this forum to check out some trails ive never been to and go on some meets with some of the members. quick info about me , im 26 from the 626 area in baldwin park i ride a (09 or 10 not sure anymore lol ) gt force 3.0 mt and a 02 trek 5200 USPS ed. road bike also been looking for some shoes to ride with my mt bike. looking for something reasonable saw these shimano sh-am50 had some good reviews what you guys think? i currently have some regular metal pedals on my mt bike because i never got around to get shoes, but i have the original pedals with the eggbeaters in the middle so im interested in what you guys recommend so hope to be out on some rides soon!

Welcome from Mission Viejo. Don't let these guys beat you up about being a roadie, they just don't like skinny tires,LOL! There are plenty of rides posted, and 98% of the time you can find someone to ride with. You will not meet a better group of people than the ones in the STR family. welcome, and enjoy!

Welcome to STR... I grew up in baldwin park off merced and elwyn, close to bursch elementary but live in Anaheim Hills now. Anyway where do you rode ride out there? santa fe dam? You should take your mtb to marshall canyon or bonelli park to get some good riding but if u want to travel head on over to OC for some fun trails too.
ya done both mostly marshal bonelli i did like twice with a group came down that hill full of rocks and stuff was pretty wild got to be pretty careful on that one at least for me hahaha
