What's a good way to learn how to jump?

    cheery ave south of 10 frwy,south from Ralphs parking lot it is in back of the little park at the bottom of that hill to the east.

    Why? Are there a lot of logs in the way on the trails you ride? :?:

    Big bunny hops, jumps and drops are 3 different things. pm Radical Rich - he likes to fly. Or - ride with art23rockpile - he likes to huck. :bang:

    I haven't learned how to jump well. I do know that you do NOT jerk on the bars, you need to lift up gently and simutaneously, get behind your seat. If you jerk, you'll end up having the bars turn in the air, and if don't correct and land with the front wheel straight your goin over... Thats my biggest problem. Your supposed to push down on your fork and pop it off the lip of the jump and gather up your bike with your legs.

    loading docks are good for practicing drops. theres a good one at the grocery store at irvine reg park i used to drop every time.

    it's in the middle of talbert preserve, next to the santa ana river west of the hamilton/victoria st. bridge in hb./costa mess. there are also some smaller jumps just inland in fairview park.
