    Web cookies are generally good. Earlier browsers did nit give you enough control of "third party" cookies. IMHO, 3rd party cookies are generally bad. Here is a linkie: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_cookies

    cookies are good in moderation, but can be bad if you have to many because they can slow you down.

    The answer to your question is browser-specific. For instance, on a Mac running Safari, click Preferences-Security-ShowCookies. Honestly, I wouldn't worry too much about cookies. There are other ways for your boss to see that you're browsing porn while at work.

    Hi Dirt! So I went in to Google and deleted every last "cookie" I had for no other reason than I didn't know what else to do. :)
    I know Calzone recommended against this.
    I had to log in to STR again. So am I now unknown on every site I go to?

    Dear Unclepudding. PLEASE don't start a Mac VS. PC war.
    I have both and I like both.:wave:
    I just want to learn about cookies.
