    Hey all,

I'm not really new to this site........I've known about it for a while and read the post from time to time..but haven't posted.
Uh oh, does that make me a lurker? :-k

Not new to the area by any means, and I'm sure I've seen and/or ridden with, by, around or alongside many of you & vice versa in the past.

If you catch me out on my SS(Dean) sometime, be sure to say hello....

    Cheers-
    Scott (aka...Burdman)

Well, that's all I'm going to say about that....8)

    Lee,
    What's up? How are ya?

The Bianchi is in the garage....but hasn't seen the trails in a while. It's full rigid now.

The Dean is a sweeter ride, although, I found a crack @ the downtube & BB weld the day before VQ! I rode it anyway.....no time to fix. It's all good and held up just fine, so now I may send it in for repair.

Maybe he didn't follow the seat post insertion instructions. It may not have broken if he stuck it in another two inches.

You are assuming that he's already out ;)

Scott, Long time, no see--how the hell are you? Would have seen you at the VQ, but I thought I'd take it slow this year <cough cough cough--lucky to make it through>

Hope to see you guys on a ride, or the blur of you passing :)

    "Chelle"....you're Rachel! :)
Hey...what's going on? Sorry, I had no idea it was you.
    It has been a while...I'm doing great....thanks.
How are you doing and John?

So did you enjoy the VQ? Congrats on finishing it and the time doesn't matter! It's an accomplishment.
I was just happy to finish too.

Hopefully, I will see you guys out there sometime too, and I think it's more likely that you guys will be the blur going by me. :)
I'm in school 4 days a week as a full-time student now and my off days are spent studying my arse off, which does not allow me to maintaining my riding fitness much.:(

    Say hey to John.

    Cheers-
    Scott

    Scott,

will do, I'll tell John hi from you. The poor thing was stuck with me all day at the VQ (is that love, or what)--AND, he didn't break up with me at the finish line.

If you're in school 4 days, you have 3 days to play on the bike ;)

Congrats on finishing! I'm actually thinking that I'm really sick (in the head at least), cause I'm already thinking of trying again....this after saying that I wouldn't do it if I made the cut-off all during training--I have issues

Good to see you on here. There are a lot of cool people, and quite a bit of SS'ers too. I even have one now :)

    Rachel,
Yup...that's gotta be love! And he did it on his rigid too...nice! He's for sure in deep....haha.

Yes, I do have 3 days off to play on the bike....but the problem is, when I do this, I've noticed when it's time to take exams in class, my brain goes "Doh"!

Yeah, I'm a little touched in the head too, b/c I'm already thinking that I'll do it again next year. And this is after hiking up probably 80% of Trabuco & WHT, and saying out loud..."Single Speeds are stupid, why am I riding this damn thing...I want gears"! :)
I guess time(and recovery) makes you forget all the pain and punishment you experienced the day of...

So you came over to the dark side too...nice, which also means next year you're doing the VQ on the SS...awesome!

    Cheers-
    Scott
