Trekster, tell your friend that that he can learn a lot as to why he crashed by watching the video. Next tell him when a person crashes we check to make sure he's ok, bikes's ok (not necessarily in that order), then laugh like hell! Oh yeah, also tell him it's not a matter of if he crashes, but when!!! #-o-Lloyd
Jonathon, Thank you for respecting my wishes and pulling down the thread Sunday during the day of complete and utter most pain, and you were right I walked away from the fall just fine on Saturday but when I woke the next morning thinking I was going to get ready to ride Whiting ranch with you and Robert it was almost like my body wasn’t responding at all (Scared the sh*t out of me). Aside from the sharp pain I have on my right side ribs when breathing and also hitting my head so hard I feel like I have water in my ears (balance/equilibrium is totally off today). I feel compelled to have you repost the wonderful footage of our adventure! Thanks for being a Bro! Mike
Just to make you feel better... last March I was riding MTT.... let just say I ended up in a HELI... yeah... that's my hands sticking out from inside the chopper... and you know whats messed up... there was 5 gopros that day including mine... but ALL are OFF!!!!! #-o
I had a crash several years ago at Noble Canyon, down here in SD. Small jump, but I hit it wrong and too slow. Right OTB on the landing. Smashed my helmet. Apprently my friends were taking video with their point and shoot. You can hear them in the background yelling when I went down. I was pissed for a few days, then the video went up on YT. I was gonna kill him then I got over it. Now there are over 16K views. I've since done a lot more DH and that little jump is not a problem. I caught a lot of flak for that crash on YT. People can be pretty uncool, so I understand where this guy was coming from. Anyway, here's my stupid crash. Amen Being a Steelers fan...that was just about the funniest thing I heard all day! Just about spewed all of my iced tea on the monitor. Seeing how I think the air has been cleared...GAME ON!!!
Trekster, MTBKrazy, after looking at that video again I can tell you. The same thing happened to me 3-4 months ago at Marshall Cyn., only with a tree root.8-[ -Lloyd
Nice video. yep, this happens to everyone, including myself 3-4 times this past weekend at Fontana. Just gotta get back up, dust off and keep riding
Man the only time I had someone film me riding on a trail I promptly ate shxt and flew about ten feet down a hillside
One of my favorite clips ever. Love JM's focus and narration. Knew you'd stacked, but kept filming the next guy coming down. Total pro.
Great crash/learning experience (ouch!), ride and video/soundtrack! Glad you were wearing your helmet! You did exactly the right thing...it's like riding a horse...you get bucked off, gather yourself and get right back on the D*mn thing and have fun! (In my case..you cry first then get back on and go have a beer!)
Man my ribs barely stopped hurting this past weekend . So I ended up riding Scully ridge in chino hills . Trying to play it safe for a change . Lol #-o
Marshal canyon can be a bit brutal . I have been riding it now from the Claremont side to marshal and then back. So far I am being real cautious now a days afraid of being caught eating it on video.8-[
Well since we are helping each other feel good about getting our crashes caught on video.... [vimeo]5897595[/vimeo]
