What frame is that on your DJ/ Urban Bike? It looks like a transition Trail or Park Frame.

Thanks for the offer, I just purchased the Transition Park or Trail Frame, still building it, I heard it was a great frame.

Means we don't need 2 threads of the same thing. All posts showing their SS will be moved to the old one: Post your Single Speed and this one will be changed with a new title.

32x19 is a perfect combination for me on a Surly 1x1.

This is the completed SS Transition Trail or Park Built. Took it for a ride today, handles well. When with a 30t:16t gears- No problem on most of the minor slope area.

I still wanted more of a pop when I took off, I shall have selected a larger gear on the rear, maybe a 18t - Anyone in the market for a Surly SS Cog 16t, used onces.

Kept the 30t for the front chain ring and Change to 20t for the rear cog, (1.50) this works great for quick acceleration and burst of energy, it worthless for any distance riding on flats or downhills, great for climbing.

Great play bike and learning bike...

Bike looks good, I had the same gearing on my P.2 and it worked well for "fun" but worthless anywhere else. I just built a Surly 1x1 with 33x17 and hopefully I won't die @ Fully this weekend

I'm currently building a ss 26er as well. I bought a 32t front and 18t rear which seems to be the "standard". Bike isn't done yet so I can't comment on how it rides...
