I have narrowed it down to two selections, what would be the advantage and disadvantage?

    30t -15t or

    30t - 16t

You'll be spinning around with those gears...

bump that 30t up to a 32t and you'll be set. The 32/16 will be a little easier to pedal than the 32/15, but at that point it comes down to personal preference. I have ran both 32/16 and 32/15 and recently swapped the 16t for a 15t and like the taller gearing.

Coming from a DJ/Street point of view, you'll be happy w/ the 32/16.

Have fun experimenting with gears. Your preference may change depending on the terrain and your conditioning.

Just for fun, here's the "5"er:
Ridiculously short geared for mad spinning around the block... Watch out Blackstar Canyon!

Nice bike... A 32:16 would be the same as a 30:15.

Can a single Speed crank for MTB be combined with a Spanish Bottom Bracket? The spindle size are the same, 19mm.

The chain tugs are used on frames with slot drop-outs (horizontal). They are not essential, and can also get away with just one on the drive side. Its basically an easier way to tension the chain. You screw the two allen bolts into the tensioner and this pushes the axle of the wheel away from the front ring, tensioning the chain.

Obviously if you have a chain tensioner you don't need one.

My sliders have a variant of a tensioner that keeps the slider form getting pushed forward:

No this is a post about building a SS...

Here is a partial built of my SS - Transition Park or Trail Bike.
I decided to go with a 30t Chainwheel on the Front and 16t Cog. I'm using a EASTERN PRO ARMS/SPINDLE Crank 19 mm Spindle/ 175mm Arm Crank/ BMX Style. The BB is installed, used a Spanish BB. Currently Waiting on the Balance of the order.

Looking for a possible custom paint job on frame. Any experts out there? I try using the stickers that came with the frame, very cheesy, pull them off, didn't like the look. PM me with number.
