Sorry to hear Liz. I always worry about that kind of injury. Will it happen to me? I step wrong a few times a day but so far so good. Take it easy for a couple weeks and try to enjoy the time off. Your customers will miss you.

    Heal up Liz!

Did they recommend a cream or something for your foot? I can't believe how bad you have let it get...

What a bummer Liz... Being a bit of an opportunist, I do look forward to the past due ride reports! Moreover, heal well... looking forward to a ride once you are healed.

Sorry to hear about the ankle. The good news is that it's quite obvious that your sense of humor is still intact.

Hopefully, the ligaments are still OK.

Most of all, I'm glad your post has replaced the other one that has been most prominent in the Rider Down page lately. On the main forum page, it just said "My 59 year old mom took a solid. . . . ." My inner 12 year old wanted to point that out in that thread, but he said his mom was cheered up by all the comments, so I didn't want her to see that (my 12 year old sense of humor) #-o

Are those the sites you hang on Craig? That is seriously vile and disgusting!
Oh, and remind me not to go in the woods with you alone! Perhaps Simon is your accomplice?

Wow, that sucks, Liz. Rest-up and heal-up. In the meantime, if you need any salads tossed, I'm sure there's plenty of volunteers to facilitate such requests for you. ;)

    LIZ!

Bummer to hear about you busting up your ankle. At least you can get back on and pedal some flats in a few weeks...and you no doubt have a lot of help coming your way too. Hope the painkillers are keeping it (and you) feeling good!

Sorry to hear about the injury, Liz. Don't be too hard on yourself... accidents happen.

    Hopefully, you'll recover quickly.

Broken bones suck, but here is another way to look at it. We don't often get a good excuse to be slothful.
Enjoy your time off and heal quickly!

Sounds painful, but you'll be back in the saddle in no time. In the interim, use that boot to kick some booty :)

My first real post!! I can't keep quiet on this one. I'm hoping for a tie. Thanksgiving weekend a couple years ago. We did a club weekend at Cuddyback. A nice offroaders spot. I'm loading up and my buddies Mom makes me a Thanksgiving sandwich for the trip home. The sandwich was epic!! Big roll, with turkey, stuffing even had some sweet potato's in it. The bomb samby. I remembered the samby and pulled off a no lights offramp off the 14. Went in the trailer, grabbed the holy grail sandwich and a Gatorade. I was wearing November uggs, jumped down out of the trailer and landed on a small curb made out of blacktop on the offramp. Landed on it! I'm a Clyde! Broke the ankle. IT HURT. Crawled under the truck to get to the cab etc etc. Got light headed numerous times.

That weekend we rode many many miles with some serious racers with not a scratch. Broke the ankle getting a sandwich. I feel your pain Liz.

No shame in breaking the ankle...
but more importantly, did you drop the sandwich?

The sandwich was left for the Coyotes. To this day I feel a tad wussified for not locating it after the trailer get off!! My Buddy's Mom after many campfire laughs made me the once in a lifetime sandwich the following year. Desert racers are good people. PS. Not only did I drop the Holy grail of sandwiches! But I wanted my Mommy. Did I just say that?
