...and wound up here. Rode a short easy loop in Chino Hills State Park this morning and ran into a crew on Bovinian Delight, ( I suck at single track and particularly on my "chopper") working on the trail. They aimed me here. I told them next time they were out there I'd come and help. So here I am. I'm just getting back to riding after laying off after tearing my knee apart about 12 years ago. Back in the day I road raced in Colorado, worked as an official and worked the Old Coors Classic as a motorcycle marshal. I usually worked races as a motorcycle official. I quit all that. Years ago. One of the last shops to sponsor our old team was a mountain bike specialty shop. I got a good deal on a Rocky Mountain Glacier with a first generation Manitou fork. That died. I replaced it last year with a Rockshock Tora. A bit long for the geometry of the frame so it's a little choppered out. I figure to replace this next year some time with a full suspension bike. Anyway, This looks like a good site, and I will definitely be working some trails.
:welcome: from Claremont. The old Coors Classic huh, I imagine you have some good stories, that was quite the stage race.
Thanks to all for the welcomes. I'm still getting to know this place a bit. I'll dig up some old pics and scan them. Then maybe I can recount some boring old bicycle tales and half-truths from the days of yore...
:welcome::welcome::welcome: Thanks for starting a thread. Most "New Members" don't bother. Hope it is the first of many...
