Hi everyone...!My name is Barb and I get out there and fall down on a regular basis. Just kiddn~! (but I do have some pretty ugly chain ring scars on my shins--that learning curve was brutal, and I think I'm still going through it on an ongoing basis. I feel elated when I finish a ride and didn't eat it even once, which is happening more and more these days. Anyone else feel like that? I ride a '99 SWorks hardtail that weighs about 21 lb, which is perfect for me cause I don't ride bat outta hell downhill, so I really don't need the boat anchor/full suspension. Aside from no back shock, the rest of it is what some people consider antique equipment, with an XT Octalink crankset, and the rest is the really good stuff, XTR. My SWorks came stock with superlight Specialized cranks, but those got replaced recently with NOS XT cranks/octalinkBB, which is pretty good stuff and only after ten years of riding, when the drive train just completely wore out . I love my bike, even if it does have rim brakes. LOL. So anyway, to the guys who put this nifty forum up here so we can all compare notes and find out wassup, thank you!
Wow Barb, nice bike. One year older than mine. Except I actually do fall down on a regular basis Welcome from Prescott
underwear folder do you really fold your underwear? that's really funny~ I love people, they crack me up... thank you~! thank you~!...the falling down gets easier cause we learn how to land. LOL thank you~!
welcome and I think you should sell that dinosaur and get a full suspension, perhaps a 4 or 5" boingy on both ends, your rides will be even more enjoyable. Judging by your name, youre probably as old and worn out as me, so purchasing a f/s bike will be a godsend.
:welcome: Ride, ride, ride. When you get tired, ride some more. Stop if you get hurt but otherwise, ride. :welcome: from Rowland Heights.
