Weekly Westside Night Ride

I roughly did this ride in reverse tonight and never ran into anyone. My brother in law and I went up Mulholland, down Sullivan fire road, down squirrel cage, up Sullivan canyon and back down Mulholland. I guess we had the trails to our self.

 

crap what was the mileage/ascent stats on that?

 

My strava only recorded half of the ride so I am not exactly sure.

 

Yessssss my 1000 and 1400 lights were delivered today.

 

Trail is going to be pretty muddy still by tomorrow I think. Skip this week?

 

I might try to hit sullivan cyn/ridge on thurs night should be nice and dry by then. pm me if interested- also, i see you live in playa- i'm really close in culver city

 

From my experience, Westridge & Sully Canyon hold up well after rain as there is not much clay content in the soil. That being said, I'm not 100% in for tomorrow, something is not quite right with my shoulder.

I cannot join Thursday, but if you're available/interested in riding tomorrow night @ 7pm, drop a message in this thread.

 

I know it is a bit late in the game but I am going out for a ride in about an hour if anyone is interested.

 

Beachcruiser & I did a mellow spin up Westridge, down the canyon. We did see some lights coming down Sullivan's Fire Rd, otherwise We didn't see any other cyclists. I hope you had a good ride. We hit a little head wind on our climb, but it made for a really clear night with pleasant temps. Gotta love So Cal.

 

Just got back from a ride with Bing. I went down and then back up Westridge and then did a bit of Mulholland and Farmers. Good times!! Sorry I had to start so late and missed you guys.

 

Who's in for tomorrow night? Plan is to meet on Bayliss near Queensferry and be pedaling by 7pm. Please drop a message here if you plan on making it. I know we live in So Cal, but the weather should be perfect.

 

after my first ride with you guys a few weeks ago i've been so stoked to get back up there! something came up every wed! ordered lights, sick, rain, work... now I caught another crap cold. daamnnit.

But I took my new lights for a trial run around my neighborhood, they're great! Looking forward to joining next week

 

I'll be there if my back feels better - tweaked it yesterday morning while locking up my commuter bike. :?: Still dealing with muscle spasms today, but hopefully it'll improve by tomorrow. Anyway, don't wait for me. If I'm going to be there I'll be on time.

Well I am not sure if I saw you guys or not. It was a very busy night in the mountains. We must have seen 12-15 other riders. Good night for a ride!

 

Yeah, same old problem. Seems like I've had a lot of flare-ups lately. I probably could have ridden last night, but since I'm planning to ride Palm Canyon this Saturday, I didn't want to push it.
