    Back by popular demand... :bang:

    STR Maintenance Clinic

    Date: Wednesday, November 17, 2010

    Time: 6:30pm - 8:30pm

    Location: Fullerton Bicycles
    424 East Commonwealth Ave
    Fullerton, Ca 92832
    (714) 879-8310

    Plain and simple:
If you do NOT know how to adjust a derailleur, replace a chain, change a tire, remove brake pads, set-up your suspension etc.- this clinic is for you!

    What to expect:
Participants can "expect" to work on their own bikes! To repeat, you will (with the help of an instructor) make repairs to your own bike! For those who don't feel like bringing a bike, watch and learn!

    Attention Ladies:
This is not a "Guys Only" event. We would love to have you join us! There is nothing to be afraid of. Bike repair is easier than you think.

    Instructors needed:
If you are a capable mechanic, if you have your own work stand AND if you are willing to bring basic tools, your services would be most appreciated! If interested please contact me!

    Parts Discount:
All in stock items will be discounted 35%... :)
(Brakes, chains, clothing, derailleurs, helmets, lube, pads, shifters, tires, tubes etc.)

It only takes a second to RSVP!

Thanks for putting this together. I'm in, and bringing my teenage son. Maybe he will listen to someone else about working on his bike, because if I tell him, he's sure it's wrong. Teenage thing.

Since kid has minimum days, we can come up early - any plans for 'quick' early loop in the afternoon? and grub & brew before/after? ...anyone??

Awesome, Dino! By working on one's own bike, the rider can learn to recognize minor problems and correct them BEFORE they become ride-ending failures. Further, the home mechanic will no longer miss out on rides, just because the shop couldn't get around to repairing his bike right away.

David- Road bikes are welcome, roadies are not! :)
    (just kidding)

One of the mechanics is a HARDCORE roadie...
He would love to answer any questions you may have!

I wish I could make it seeing as I broke the brake lines on both of my MTN bikes today unlaoding them from the car, one prior to the swap meet and the other when I got home.

As long as someone has the right tools should be a 10 minute job. I just did my own a couple weeks ago for the first time.

I'll be there with my stand and tool box.

One very important question. Am I allowed to drink on the job? I always do at home and not sure I can tap into my inner bike professor if I don't have a beer...

    Here, here to that....:beer::beer:

    Looses the 'checkbook' too ;)

When I don't have time to ride, e.g., kids etc, I grab a beer and work on my bike(s) - next best thing to being there...
