I'm guessing its free since all local channels are fed into your feed as a courtesy. Like abc, cbs, nbc... so you don't have to run ears. The channels are free right?
on my cable system it's part of the limited premium package so it may not be "free" i've resorted to watching this on the web now until this figures out...in fact i'll call cox now and find out what the deal is.
ok update for cox customers. apparently everyone's been calling because they have a prerecorded message letting customers know that the broadcaster is having technical difficulties and trying to figure out why they're broadcasting spanish programming WTF?! so they're working towards a resolution as quickly as possible
I had the same shit happen to me. Saw the Prolog on Sunday on Universal Sports, then Monday I tune in to watch the highlights and BAM #-o , Spanish TV. DAMN YOU time warner!!
TVEI (Television Espanola Internacional) has live coverage of the Vuelta. If you have Dish or Direct TV, that channel is included in the Latino packages. By the way, one of the commentators is Pedro Delgado, winner of Tour and Vuelta in the late 80s. Time to sharpen those Spanish skills...
Got home from work and tuned into find that it was still spanish tv, El Tickatero(reality tv that follows meter maids around) Awesome #-o. run some errands, come back and its back on. Finally something to watch on tv.
Mike, it is channel 460 TVEI. I have Direct TV. For some reason, the channel guide doesn't show it, but it comes on around 7 AM (4 PM Spain's time).
The coverage by Universal Sports sucks! After sunday they have no coverage on for the whole week. I hope it changes before then.
Strange. According to the website, they are scheduled to air Vuelta stages all week (as well as Tour of Missouri stages). I'll have to confirm my local schedule when I get home. The good news is that the mountains finally start tomorrow! Okay, it's also cool that Cancellara leads the GC for another day.
