My fitness level isn't quite up to 7 or 8 sisters, so I may do only the first or second half.

What time are you planning to start?

Looking for the same answer as I am going that route tomorrow possibly.

Also heard blackstar isn't a muddy mess like we thought all the way to Beeks. I don't know what the Main Divide looks like snow wise.

Anyone still in for this training ride tomorrow??

I was waiting for somebody to ask this question.

I'm in, if a little hesitant to go up to only turn around after a few miles. But with a good group of similar minded (or similar mindless) peeps I would do anything and everything! Well, almost.

So, if you go, I'll go for as long as we can go.

I'd like to do a "real" training ride with everyone, but it seems like its been dumped for roadie rides. I may be wrong...

I have a couple friends that wanted to hit up Holy Jim with a possible trek up to the peak, if we can make it.

There is also the STT to Old Camp, but I'd like to do something along the CC / Vision Quest route instead.

I was hoping to make the drive down there to do the original ride, but I'm going with everyone else in saying that it just won't be worth it no matter what route is changed? i'm keeping an eye on this thread in hopes of riding somewhere tomorrow

Similar situation here. I'm new and don't know these trails, but I'd really like to do something in the dirt tomorrow. Been looking at this, HJ, San Juan with the OTB club, or STT with Luge. I'm confused :?:.

Ride up Blackstar, if Main divide isn't a viable option to Motorway, hit Sierra peak and drop Skyline, back to Blackstar. The Sierra Web Can shows the snow melting fast!

30 miles with close to 5000 of climbing. I'll most likely do this Sunday if the snow is still around

I just finished the 7 Sisters and have to say that it is an excellent alternative route for CC/VQ training. The hills are steep, brutal and just about as long as most of the Main Divide hills.

38 miles/5800' of climbing. Even on pavement, that's a pretty stout ride.

Black Star is not to bad. I rode most of it this morning. After a day of drying, it will be fine for tomorrow.

Jordan and myself are heading up blackstar at 10am tomorrow morning to give it a go. After hearing Randy's report on the conditions, it definitely seems ride able tomorrow to beeks.

From there is up to the conditions...
