If you are interested in leading runners in the 2012 Surf City Marathon, Feb. 5th, please contact Jane Lemonds at [email protected]. This is a closed course on PCH in Huntington Beach with 22,000 runners and thousands of specators. It makes for pretty exciting ride experience. In the past, cyclists have been credited with saving lives and helping the event avoid major problems by reporting issues and incidents along the course.
You will be home in time for the Superbowl game. The coordinators take the job of lead cyclist very seriously so you will need to attend one orientation meeting including a pre-ride on the planned course.
