    Ok

Could not decide where to ride all day but finally I've decided to give my poor little road bike some work out since it has been so long.....#-o

I'm doing a 50 mile tour of OC starting from Albertson/Oaks parking lot around 9am....I know it's late.

There will be some hills but nothing too ridiculous....just hit the beach via santiago canyon road and back on jamboree.

Let me know, I sure would like some company.

I'll check PM and thread in the morning.

My email is [email protected] or call me at 714 326 7978 if you can make it. Should be beautiful out tomorrow.

    Sorry, can't make it :(

There is a "food park" ride that starts at 0830 at the Coffee Bean on Harvard/Main though. I think it's a pretty serious ride, not sure if that's what you're looking for?!?!?

Sorry I didn't get back here. Food park is every Sat around 0830, I haven't done it. I heard it's race pace and most of the riders are serious (ie, be comfortable in a tight pack). I think it's short though, like 1-1 1/2 hrs?!?!?

The Food Park ride is pretty intense. There have been many pro cyclist that tend to ride with this group. Most notably Floyd Landis.

I would defiantly like to do this ride sometime soon on maybe a Saturday morning if you want to lead the way that would be nice or you could post directions as well.

let me know when you want to do this ride.

    Here is the route:
    http://www.geoladders.com/show_route.php?sport=7&route=22291

Totally 57 miles and 3000ft. But I got lost chatting with some people on the trail, so I should of stay straight on the river trail up jamboree but not a big deal....mostly flat anyways.

Yeah I'll post the ride next time I go and do that route....very nice route with good bike lanes. A few other STR people have said they want to join too.

If you don't feel like climbing newport coast then you can hit up the river trail at jamboree....very little hills that way.

That sounds like a nice route BUT i'm scared of carbon canyon later on during the day. Too many wanna be speed racers there.

If you want more miles just go further down to ortega and do the full tour of OC that's about 80 miles also.
