Vegas (Baby!) Hill Climb

    Registration is open


    Each registrant will receive a hot breakfast,sport bottle & sponsor goodies
    (Early registrants will receive an event Tshirt!)
    In store registration and packet pick up will be available at
    McGhies Ski-Bike-Board 4035 S. Fort Apache - Las Vegas, NV 89147
    Packet pick up is Friday, August 29th from noon to 7pm.NO SAME DAY REGISTRATION ON SATURDAY. This is the 23rd year for the Mt. Charleston Hill Climb
    The climb will begin at 3,326 feet at the base of hyw 156. 17.5 miles later at an elevation 8,677, the race will finish at the Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort. This is a USCF licensed race. If you are not currently licensed, you can purchase a one day license for $10 upon registration.Tables and chairs, drinks and a hot breakfast, good music and a good time will be waiting for you and your family and friends at the topThere are two neutral feed zones .
    Trainer required for warm up as there is no room at the baseHighs are usually in the 60’s, so bring warm clothes for after the ride. A vehicle will be at the start line to take warm clothing to the top for youYou must have it packed in a backpack labeled clearly with your nameto use this service.Portable restrooms will be available at the top (finish) and at the bottom (start). Bring the kids and their bikes because the kids’ race is going to be fun and we have a prize for every participant.

    Looks like fun, but I already have plans that day and weekend. Plus, reflux is Vegas'd out after attending a bachelor party out there last weekend.

    OT: Have you guys ever heard of a climb called "Beat the Train" or something to that effect? I think it is, or was, in Arizona or New Mexico, but I can't seem to find any info about it.

    I'm not sure, but I think that race might be from Durango to Silverton in Colorado.
