'08 DHRs are on sale right now. I believe you can get them for $1800 + tax.

yeah, but the cost of upgrading from my reign is the problem. I'd need a new fork, rear wheel, cranks, and the frame.

I could probably get away with a pre-06 DHR though. those have a 135mm rear end (and a 73mm BB I think)

Plus, I just paid 1800 for my complete reign, so it seems frivolous (especially when I can beat quite a few people with DHRs on ym reign ;))

I'm probably the last person that should be saying this, but please cease and desist from derailing the race thread boys...

Myself and 2 friends are going to be racing and camping. Looks like it will be a fun event. I am going to do both the Super D and DH, unsure if my buddies will be doing both.

I talked to you already Gary, you haven't seen the part we worked on #-o

 it's farther up in the run than you went.

We shored up the line on a 30' sloping turn that probably woulda gotten wrecked on race weekend otherwise.

So, what's the word on the course? any notable obstacles? turns? rediculous 18 ft drops?

Also, more rocky chunk or single track? or a mix?

trying to decide whether to throw on my rock-proof tires for this, or stick with the blue groove/nevegal combo :-k (the rock proof route is about 4 lbs heavier though  )

I will leave the Q&A to Dale, as I'm not sure what they want leaked.

I would imagine though that a Nevegal/BlueGroove would be fine.

you'll be fine with your current setup.

Just watch out for kids running wild on lifted Rhinos and golf carts with rims blasting Vanilla ice.

Dude...I saw a 16-ish year old white kid on a lifted blinged out golf kart blasting either KMK or some other crappy white rapper and he was wearing a total wigger outfit. :-k

I was torn between crying and laughing #-o
