I got a chance to talk to Dave Turner on Sunday. They are hard at work on the new DHR but it is probably at least 6 months out!!!!!

Your best runs will be the ones you don't worry about hauling ass

Nope must have been someone else...I don't have a Kona sweatshirt. I was wearing a grey D26 zip-up hoodie for a while though. Other than that just wearing gym shorts and my Christ Pose t-shirt

Looks like it was a great time down there and congrats to ALL the racers and promoters.
I also want to say thanks for the pics so far. Any more vids?
The family and I have been at home all weekend with flu symptoms (cant really admit we HAVE the flu ;) ) so I was kinda pissed I could not make it down there. Racing with the flu is one thing but driving for 1+hrs with the flu is a bitch.

One question though ... whens the next Hillbilly Bash happening? Or will it have another theme?

The kid shredding that rooster tail from Keith's pic is the same guy who threw down that huge one-footer I have a photo of.

Thanks to Sharky and DHPhil for posting up pics. Great event out at Vail this weekend.

I knew I was in trouble Sunday when I had two fast, clean practice runs. Not sure if anybody was taking pics at the last double during the sport race, but if so, they probably got a great one of me rubber side up eating dirt.

I'm sorry that I wasn't able to make it to this event (still stuck in Chicago), but it looks like a fun course! I like that they have at least one jump (that double). Sweet!

Out of curiosity, I don't see any rocks in the course and a couple guys on their 4X bikes. Is it a "small bike" course?

Rocky...not really. There were a few sections that I might call "rough" but nothing too bad. It was a little steep in some sections but the majority was pretty smooth and sandy.

I only saw one guy on a hardtail the rest were on 6"+ bikes it looked like. Unless you scrub it that would be a heck of a rough landing...

I could see you riding you SS on this course and not really wanting the M6. I dont think it was a course the required a big bike but most people feel much more comfortable with the extra travel.

More room for error, a.k.a. more suspension, was nice to have on this course.
