The super D Course was terrible! Thank the dark master for Fontana and Joe Lawill. I can't believe they are really trying to put on an event with such a terrible course.
The course had nothing technical, more uphill than downhill, no good singletrack and quite a bit of fireroad. If you are thinking about racing super D at Bonelli don't. Wait for Southridge/Fontana.

Never really knew what Super D meant, but judging by the D I am guessing some sort of downhill.... and bonelli is not the place for that.

Anyways...... Shocked to hear that Bishop won over Taberlay in the PROxc race, what happened to Sid? He was a solid 45 sec ahead on lap 5

Check out http://www.cyclingnews.com/races/us-pro-xct-1-bonelli-park-2/elite-men-cross-country/results for a pretty good write-up of what happened today in the men's elite XC race...

Love the coverage this race is getting! I mean cyclingnews.com is typical euro pro roadie news, tour de france, and such. Similar on velonews and other big cycling sites. Great to see a Socal mtb race reported at that level.

It's a very big US national level race with UCI points!

For a first time racer who has very little experience on technical terrain... that was a pretty challenging course! Felt a lot more confident over everything by the 3rd lap, so it was a good learning tool for me.

Great! Well you started at an international level UCI approved course, so it will be smooth sailing from here! Try the kther courses in the US Cup out too. Fontana is somewhat more technical than Bonelli but the rest will be a sinch!

what a great way to spend a birthday...riding/racing with friends. I really enjoyed the course..more so if I had not snapped my rear shifter 1/4 into the race leaving me with 1..sometimes 2 gears for the remainder. awesome weather, great camaraderie and support...did pretty good, but NOWHERE near placing..and I'm fine with that. Thank you all riders and supporters for making my birthday fun, even though I've never met most of you. :)

Good race. Good course. I have never had to work harder before in my whole life!

Didn't have a chance to pre-ride the course, but sometimes that makes the race even more fun. I can't wait for the next race at Fontana.

I've looked but can't find "official" results yet. All the results I've seen posted were incomplete. Can someone direct me please?

for those that were there on saturday. the mens pro was a very exciting race. when sid came thru, with his lain white jersey on, no sponsors :bang:, he was so far ahead by the third lap, i thought he was one of the last riders of that lap instead of the leader. we were all cheering for him because he was spanking it. he barely had sweat on his face and he kept looking behind him for the other riders.

i talked to bishop after the race. bishop said, "this was the best race i have ever had in my life". he said he heard that he was 40 seconds behind sid and decided to put a sprint on to catch him. well he did, lol.

i loved the course thought it held up great to the abuse that so many riders dished out over two full days of racing!

the elite women's race had some great battles as did the men's. i love watching the best in the US battle it out in XC racing!

good job to everyone that got out and put in a race effort!
