Better than I got. My Garmin shut off twice.

I'm coming off week 3 of the first build cycle of the season. My legs were toast during the pre-ride and I was in no shape to go back out and try to get a file. My RPE for the pre-ride was somewhere in the negative range in terms of trying set a pace .

    Super D?

Has anyone raced Super D at Bonelli? Wondering how the course is and type of start (Le mans or Time trial), and otehr details...

    Thanks in advance.

I was riding at Bonelli today and ran into the guy who was going to mark the course. It's going to start on the east side of the park and follow the xc course mostly. You'd be better riding it on a hard tail b/c the course is mostly fireroad.

The downloaded file from geoladders shows 1409' gain. The DEM (digital elevation model) for the track shows 1708'.

What geoladders displays as the gain is their mystery.

BTW what garmin are you using?

Thank you everyone for racing and making this an amazing first event! Last year, 345 racers, this year 680................YES 680! I guess none of you read the reports that Mountain bike racing is dead in the USA.

Thank you Thank you Thank you!

Wait until you see what we bring out to the Fontana event!

    With much respect :bang:

Turnout is pretty indicative of how much MTBrs are jonesin' for organized events. Racing or otherwise.

I loved the course, it was a blast. Thanks for putting on such a wonderful event, and for all your hard work!!! I'm glad to see that it paid off.

Now, can you get a few more women 30-39 to ride with me? Pros and Allison left me in the dust, but I'd prefer a beat down by my own age group. :)

    Awesome race!

Since it was a C priority race we put in a hard 3.5 hrs of training on Saturday on the course. It hurts to know we could have done better with some taper, but need to get ready for the races later in the season.

Allison was having fun for her two laps duking it out with Krista Park who won Pro (yeah, crazy huh?). Pretty sure she was about 10 minutes up on second place after two laps. Wait till this girl Peaks and tapers... It is going to be off the hook!

I had an okay race. Yesterday's volume and intensity had me waking up pretty sore (it sucks to have Allison ripping my legs off during training rides). I was in a podium spot untill I cramped on Lap 3. I did meet my goal of top 10 though, 8th of 24 in Cat 1. I think I miss DH racing... :)

    What a day!!!

Great time out at Bonelli today. Saw a few folks from STR, both riding and er... um... drinking. :)

Here's Kritter, dislocated1 and their Krew, enjoying, the um... ambiance, along with some refreshing beverages! Yum!!

This young man seemed to have a different idea:

My boy Willie on the phone with his manager :)?:), Pua before the race:

There were a LOT of people out there...

I had TWO in the race this time out!! I snuck in my 7 yr old, Toby to race in the 10 and Under cat. What fun!! (A bit on the slow side...) His first race ever.

I rode sweeper for him (glad I did!!). It was absolutely a gorgeous day!

Toby had to HAB up quite a few hills.

But, he even passed a few riders! Woot!

Toby rolled in as the last finisher in his cat (a few DNF'ed). That's cool -- best part? He finished!!!

Here's the start of the pro race.

Looks like someone on the left edge was trying to do the same thing as the Yamaha rider... #-o

I got a shot of Willie's Team Mata Keiki teammate, Gene Capinas during his Expert 15-16 ride (he placed 2nd!).

Willie won 3rd. He and the 2nd place finisher were 1 minute apart (and the top finisher was a no show... go figure).

    What you talkin' 'bout Willis?

Here's my pal Lee. He's one of the folks behind the SoCal MTB League. Their first race is out at Vail Lake next Sunday!!

Then on to my faves. These are the ladeeez. Heather, Rachel and Allison. What a great crew!!

That's it. Great day out there.

Don't know about the class as a whole, but Cat 2 Men 41-45 was won with 1:05 (I'm rounding up a few seconds).

The first lap for pros was about 28 minutes... they finished right around 2 hours for the four laps

The fastest cat 2 guys were 1;02 and some change... Sandbagging big time...

I was 3rd in Cat 2 30-34 at 1:09 or so but only 50 seconds behind the lead

Great turn out, can't wait for fontana
