    Can't open the website

Ok I probably gonna irritate someone, but I can't for the life of me get the site to open on my Mac. I have even tried using firefox. I don't know if there is something special that I need to do but hopefully someone can help. Thanks in advance.

Does it hang? Do you get an error? Does it crash your firefox? What exactly is happening?

Another bugaboo to add to the list. In the Social Groups, there is a 1000 character limit on posts that wasn't there before. Nothing major, but something that wasn't there before.

And LBmtb, name your beverage of choice. After all of this, you deserve a drink or 12.

It just hangs and times out on both browsers. I even tried my wifes Mac with the same result. I can access via my iPhone on wifi no prob. I have reloaded safari and tried firefox but the google message tells me the server is busy. If I access the site via the little box (cached) I can get an old snap shot and log in, but I get the same timeout if I try to enter a topic on the forum.

    Just to chime in...

I'm fine on Mac OS X 10.6.4. Snow Leopard running Safari 5.0, Firefox 3.0.19 and Chrome 5.0.375.86. Log in is just fine with all three.

    George,

The only thing I've found working odd is when I view my album it shows full size photos when there should be thumbnails.

If they are set to stay full size, perhaps 1 per page(With next and Previous links/Buttons -- Like facebook...) is in order.

Just some food for thought man.

George--nice job getting the place tidied up, I know it's been tough going around here lately.

Having an issue getting the site to load in Chrome on my Windows machine running XP. The homepage (socaltrailriders.org) hangs, and if I add "/forum" (w/o quotes), the header will load, then it just hangs again. Site seems to load fine in Firefox (which I'm using to post this), but I much prefer Chrome.

Sounds like some aren't having trouble viewing the site through Chrome. Is this an issue on my end, then?

    Thanks for any help, pal.

Thanks for the heads up. I noticed that as well and it has to do with the thumbnail size settings for attachments. Kind of like fix one thing, break the other type of thing. I need to figure out a solution to that.

    Hi George --

This is what I get when I attempt to load a pic from the gallery:

Warning: fetch_template() calls should be replaced by the vB_Template class. Template name: navbar in [path]/includes/functions.php on line 3984

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/socaltra/public_html/gallery/header-inc.php(102) : eval()'d code on line 2

Fatal error: Call to undefined function construct_editor_styles_js() in /home/socaltra/public_html/gallery/header-inc.php on line 176

No pic, just the error code. Get the same code in the three browsers I mention above.

That gallery is no longer in use. Check this thread. The import may not have been 100% smooth so I have to revisit it to see if it missed photos.

^^ Ah, okay. I had gone to one or another of my pics in an old thread and CTRL clicked on it and it had the same old address, so I simply removed the address and went back to /gallery to find the old pics. I now see the pics are available via my account. Like Thomas has noted, the thumbs sometimes explode past the boundaries of the thumb view and make it a real mess.

    Thanks, George.

The Recent Threads on the Home Page is almost the same as Forum -> New Posts but not the same (TDF falls off). Is the difference intentional or a programming mistake?

I know the home page one is cached for a minute or two. Could that be the difference you noticed?

No. The current New Posts has entries up to 11 hours old but several threads of today are missing.

    Hey George --

I am def missing pics. As a for instance, I was going to post this pic of the drunk guy on the penny farthing into MojoCP's current thread on that subject, but it is missing from my new gallery. Most of the rest of my ToC shots are in there, but this one is not... (posted from the old gallery)

Are things still importing in on the new pics galleries?

I hope this wasn't already mentioned, but when I use the Search function, I only get either very recent threads, or threads from 2008 or earlier. Nothing from 2009. I tried a few searches to confirm.

I'll rebuild the search index tonight (since it's server intensive). That should help.

George, any idea why the site won't load in Chrome?

Non-issue... Just wanted you to know!

Once you rebuild that index will it also include our missing posts when you click on a user's "Find all posts" (Mine are missing 10-18-2008 until 4 days ago also)? Hopefully it's all the same issue! Thanks =)
