Adding support for the iPhone app Forum Runner

Support for the app "Forum Runner"
Is there any chance of getting STR to support the Forum Runner app? As I understand it, it's a simple download by the forum administrator. It allows users to view the forum
    easily on an iPhone.

May look into Tapatalk since it has apps for other phones too. Right now I'm working on some code to try and import photos from our old gallery to the new albums. May be done with that tonight or tomorrow.

After the last issue I would stay away from Tapatalk for now, since there is some word of some vulnerability in it.

    George-

re: dino's on taptalk...from my perspective something that allows for a better mobile experience would be cool..particularly posting pics directly from camera phone to site would be sweet (note some of the icons on the site are very small and more problematic now that in prior site when viewing on mobile phone)

i really miss the prior main page. i loved not having to go to the forum page but see the most recent activity on main. seems to exist not but with a bit more thread info that in my opinion is not needed. remove that a have more real estate to play with.

not having the ability to rsvp on calendar is a huge loss. anyway to get the functionality back in the mix (i have been "forced" to create similar event in fb (for which i am not active not much of a fan) just to track rsvp...prefer to keep on str and really the only board i spend any time on.

again prior board structure just seemed more usable and aesthetically pleasing but fully understand the hurdles and time commitment it takes.

that said,HUGE THANKS TO YOU for all you have and continue to do.

dont know why i waited so long but look out for this...doohickey me please, biatch (also hope u can make kids ride again this year)

I'm sure I'm in the minority, but I'm not liking this format. Everytime I log in, the site doesn't recognize me and I have to do it again. TWICE. That's WAY too much effort for me. Part of the reason I joined this site was its simplicity and user friendly format. It just looks and feels like all the others I avoided. What does this all mean? I will frequent this site less often...uh...what does this mean to you? Nothing, lol.

The new STR layout will take me some time to get used to (although i'm not on the site as much as in the past). From what i've experienced thus far, this new version doesn't seem to function as well as the original one.

On my profile page, when searching under my previous posts, I get one from yesterday, then all the rest are from 2008. Searching for previous threads (Search function) seems to omit recent threads as well. Also, when I hit the "Reply to Thread" button, nothing happens... I have to use the "Quick Reply" box.

Don't forget to check the Remember Me Checkbox right under where you put in your username and password (it is kind of hard to see but it is there) otherwise it won't remember you ...i.e. you will only be logged in for that session when you come back you will need to log in again..

The old software had to be massaged and tweaked over time to get it to where it was. I'm sure this will be the same way. I'm just happy the whole virus thing is over. That was a freggin headache. But thanks for the heads up on those things. Will keep them in mind as I keep trying up loose ends with the upgrade.

Interesting about the Remember Me thing.
I'm running Firefox and seem to be remembered...

Posted this in the downieville thread but I'll move it here....

What size do you guys want attachment thumbnails? I have full flexibility here. The first setting I can set is whether to show the full size image of the thumbnail. Thumbnails were set to 150px, that's why they were small. Now it's doing full size. But I can set it back to thumbnail and make the thumbnails bigger if I want.

Btw . . . asking to bring back the old site is like asking to save the hot chick in a zombie movie who was bitten by a zombie and is now part of the undead. Just let her go. Mold the new living hot chick to whatever you want her to be. Maybe mold her to be like the first hot chick, or maybe something better :)

Edit: I'll make an educated guess on thumbnail size based on what resolution people are viewing STR at. Then I'll let you guys say yay or nay.
