I'm recovering nicely from a Grade II MCL tear and a small patella mis-alignment issue. I even got in a nice 11-mile ride (road only) on the Heckler. I'm wearing one of those funny black knee braces for the time being. I'm feeling pretty good, and then it happened..... No not me, the little lady #-o We were heading up the stairs the other night and CRACK. It was loud enough that I thought one of the wooden stair treads had cracked. No such luck. She was doubled over in pain and the tears were flowing. Yesterday the podiatrist confirmed two stress fractures in her right foot. ( might be related to the two-liter bottle of Pepsi she dropped on her foot - cap first - two weeks ago) Anyhooo, we're both walking wounded with strange black contraptions tied to our bodies. At least one of us is nearly mended. Last night the wine sure went down smooth......
Holy Smokes! I've read that soft drinks aren't good for your bones, but didn't believe it until now. Rob P.S. Please convey my sincerest wishes for a quick recovery.
