Ken beat you to the Alien reference Adam. lol But thanks great picture. But i know for a fact that there isn't one growing in my leg.
my wife contracted mrsa. what a hassle. this looks more like a spider bite, but you never know, and it's safe to treat it as such. it's a journey trying to get in to an infectious disease doctor, they're booked pretty far in advance. it's ridiculous. a few rounds of pill based antibiotics, then daily trips for a month or so to the cancer center at hoag for IV antibiotics later, and it was mostly contained. fortunately, it never jumped to myself or to the dogs. never figured out where she got it, but we always assumed it was from cedars when she had a surgery there.
Poison oak on steroids...... My legs get like this when i get a bad case of poison oak.Just saying you never know and even the docs are having a hard time deciding what it is. OOOhh the pus from the P.O. it oozesss out of my legs for days... keep it clean and hope you heal up quick...
Update! As of 6pm last night its finally getting better. Here are some pictures of them packing it with medicated gauze. And this is an elevated shot of it. the white spot you see it the bit of packing the they keep out so they can remove it. The circle is where the redness is still but its SIGNIFICANTLY less than friday!:bang:
That is a great reduction my friend. If you guys go back and look at the earlier pics, his leg was swollen and red out to where the pen marks are now.
it was more fred. they made those marks last night. and when IT looked like my leg was going to pop, the skin was tight and discolored!
I believe it. in one pic you had a legit "cankle" going there. The antibiotics are definitely helping. Now if they could just fix your zombie-behavioral problems...
MRSA/staph/spider -- no muy bueno on any o' that, Thomas. Hope it continues to feel better and you heal up quickly. My wife got a staph infection while visiting me in the hospital when I was down after my N* spleen-bash in '09. Man, that shit hung on for a long time! Hope yours heals quicker than hers did. - shud
Update 2/20/11 Ok, so its been a while since I had the staph infection, now its completely gone, and has been gone for some time now. I have been told I don't need to have my leg packed to help fill in the hole. As a matter of fact there isn't much of a hole left. I should be able to ride this week maybe Wednesday, I have to check if its completely filled in. Thanks to everyone for the overwhelming support and keeping my spirits high during this. It could have been much worse, But it still sucks none the less! :drunk: Since I had so much time off I actually cleaned my bike! so here's a picture of the clean beauty!
