Brutal... Wheres the picture of the juice that the doctor squeezed out of it ?? Was it greenish yellow ?? These are the important things that we need to know!! hope you feel better. sorry to be so harsh with you on my first post.
Healing vibes......I had the same thing done on one of my elbows.....I crashed, cut my elbow open, and landed in a filthy creek....I didn't do a good job cleaning my wound so it got infected......I remember they also packed it up with gauze after the doc cut it open and drained it....its an odd sensation having gauze under your skin : )
When you first talked about the bump i thought for sure a boil. Then i started thinking recluse bite. There would be more tissue damage if that was the case i would think. What was the cause? And, i agree... we need after pics or it didnt happen. LOL.
I dont know what happened, And my doctors are not sure either, they took a sample of what they drained out of me to tell I guess. Pictures today of the drained hole in my leg...
treating it as mersa and i have to get it packed/drained daily till it goes away. Plus iv antibiotics. sad panda.
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0004520 NASTY! see what happens when you ride a Giant??? You get MRSA! (heal up holmes!!!) Prevention Careful attention to personal hygiene is key to avoiding MRSA infections. Wash your hands frequently, especially if visiting someone in a hospital or long-term care facility. Make sure all doctors, nurses, and other health care providers wash their hands before examining you. Do not share personal items such as towels or razors with another person -- MRSA can be transmitted through contaminated items. Cover all wounds with a clean bandage, and avoid contact with other people’s soiled bandages. If you share sporting equipment, clean it first with antiseptic solution. Avoid common whirlpools or saunas if another participant has an open sore. Make sure that shared bathing facilities are clean. Think your shin guards did it?
OMG - you have a 'staph' infection! I won't scare you with the story of how it almost killed my sister. Her's settled in her hip bone - after 2 surgery's a tube inserted into the socket to drain and to add medicine directly for weeks - this was while I was down for 3 months after almost losing my right leg to a horse accident (anyone who's ridden with me has seen my scars). She then developed a nasty case of pneumonia, ended up in ICU for stint. My parents had 2 sets of mattresses in the living room - 3 kids in high school (two of them severely injured). Guess I never really thought about it like that until now, dang - how did they survive us :-s. Her husband used to tell people that starred at us and our leg scars that we were attacked by sharks to get them to stop. Guess that's not nice to actual shark attack victims. 8-[ Take SERIOUS care of yourself and push the Dr's for all and any information to ensure you're getting the best possible care. Heal quick and heal COMPLETELY!
Thomas if you start to get a sudden craving for brains will know what its from. Make sure everyone studies the zombie survival guide just in case we have patient zero. http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/MRSA#MRSA "MRSA Newspaper: It's a copy of the local paper from May last year. The main story is about MRSA in local hospitals. You skim it and throw it away. MRSA stands for Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, a gram-positive cocci bacteria. It commonly lives on the skin of humans and has had increasing antibiotic resistance since the discovery of penicillin. According to one conspiracy theory about the zombie outbreak, NecroTech had been experimenting with weaponized Staphylococcus derived from MRSA, which escaped... or was permitted to escape. Do not confuse the condition with the group residing in Stanbury Village, the Malton Resistance Syndicate of Atlantis. Newspaper: It's a copy of the local paper from July of 2005. The main story is about MRSA experimentation. You skim it and throw it away. MRSA was clinically tested in weaponized form during an execution sentence in the city of Malton. The results haven't been released due to inconclusive response from those involved."
