The below picture is of me sitting at the top of what appears to be a jump into nowhere. I've looked and tried to come up with an answer as to where on Earth this jump might land and have no idea what-so-ever. In case it isn't clear from the photo (it probably isn't) this is the large rock pile to the right (facing downhill) of the large rock drop/roll with the spray paint on it. So I turn to you good people. If you know TW and know the history behind this, please share your wealth of knowledge. If it has been done before I wanna buy the rider a beer.

Urban legends say it was featured in a NWD flick. I've never seen it in one, but i'll be going back through.

Its not just a rock roll? The tails is Split-Rock, where you can ride through the rocks or ride/roll off them. I havent been there in a while but from what I remember it was just a large drop/rock roll that needed a landing built for it.

I havent seen it anywhere else in pictures.

If it is a roll there is no landing built and it would be one hell of a roll. That was my first thought, but i've heard rumor it was built as a jump. The roll makes way more sense though.

Last time I was there I remember standing on top of it and wondering what it was also. I thought it could only be a rock roll. But who knows. Just because you havent seen anyone hit it doesnt mean it doesnt exist up there. There is so much up there that no one knows about.

There is a section that my old neighbor built. He was a Pro racer and made a ridiculous section. Years later some of my brothers friends fixed it up and hit it. He ended up breaking his back and was air lifted out, and was paralyzed from the wast down. I dont know where the section is, I only know of about 5 people who do at most.

Lesson: Just because it sounds impossible doesnt mean it doent exist at TW

It would be sick to see what it really is

i heard the same thing... it was featured in a movie.

there's no way that's a roller. you would have to have some serious skills to pull the landing off on that one though as there's a pretty damn small landing zone.

let us know if you find anything!

I have only seen one rider do it and he was featured in a . N. W. D film. The place is no joke don't go alone if your not familiar, if you do pick up trash and be a goood steward it is wildlife reserve. Were trying to hold onto it.

It was about a 10' drop to a sloped boulder transition with dirt piled around it. Since split rock was re-routed sometime ago from going between the rocks to going all the way around the south side of them, the landing was taken out by the new trail, and thus now the whole stunt looks like nothing that could ever be done. I saw a rider do it, his name was Ian- he was a great rider and good DH racer as well.

If it was the rock roller off of split rock then its do-able. I love riding there and was one of the first people to ride there. I built split rock. Lets go ride there sometime.

Thanks for posting, I always wondered the same on that line. Sure would be nice if the canyon was always that green with dirt that good, rather than the dry dust bowl it is now.

Thankfully the weather is turning wetter. Hopefully we'll see some good rain soon to calm it down.

You don't want to know. It isn't enough to make a sane person comfortable.
