About to pull the trigger on a used Turner Highline frame...any Highline owners want to chime in on these bikes?

I plan on using it almost exclusively for FR/DH with a dual crown Boxxer or 888, and Vivid R2C in the rear. Should be a nice upgrade from the 2007 Kona Stinky I have been riding.

Also, for a bigger (220lb) rider, 888 or a coil boxxer/Domain DC? I'm reasonably happy with my Domain single crown so far but for DH usage it would be nice to have a bit more travel.

    I love my '08 Highline!

I have a Totem coil on it and a DHX 5.0 rear with Ti spring.

Turner did a full make-over on it last June.

The Highline rides great! It's a keeper for sure since Turner will not be releasing the RFX anytime soon. Dave said there is not enough interest, high production costs and the new 2012 Spot is way better than any RFX to date. After watching the video below, I have my doubts that the new RFX will come to life. It's another reason to keep the Highline for a FR/DH bike.

Avoid the boxxer. Nothing but problems.

Love mine... putting a dc fork on it will raise the already high [by 2days stnds] BB higher... not to bad though, should help thru some chunkier stuff.
Pedals pretty well for a big bike. Since it's got a 1.5 HT, you might think about running some type of angleset to slacken it out for bit if you want to run a single crown.

Make sure it's got the latest version of chainstays... v2.5[ or 3] then you'd be good to go... also check the ISCG tabs, there was case of someone on MTBR breaking his off... only time i've read/hear something like that.

ridden this setup at Mammoth, Brianhead and Bootleg, it's a pretty awesome bike. still one of my favorite Turners ever.

Thanks guys :D After talking to quite a few people who really love this frame I'm set on it. Definitely gonna get an angleset for it too, the slacker the better :D
