I rode Turnbull Saturday, and on the 7th Avenue loop, just before the Great Wall of China(I believe that is what it is called) a tree has fallen across the trail. You can still ride under the fallen tree, but be careful.

Thanks for the heads-up! I'll e-mail the rangers and let them know (although 7th maintanence is the responsibility of LA county, not the rangers but we'll see what happens). =)

    JSD,
    thanks for the warning.

    ohyeah89,
thanks for keeping the authorities informed. I'll post a report when I get to ride in that area.

the tree didn't seem that bad on saturday, it looks like someone cut out a hole to ride through. it kinda gives the trail some character, just don't hit your head... the dirt should be great later today if we can get just a little bit of sun on it!

    Monday Morning

I went under that tree this morning. I just ducked. NP. Short and Asian worked real good.

Drizzle all morning and then some. Alot of mud flying off my front wheel and in my face. 10042010261 (Small).jpg
With the forcast for more drizzle I would think again about doing Turnbull in the next few days. Fall is here.

Hey does anyone have the gps coordinates for the location of the downed tree? I forgot to get them when I was there on Friday and Monday. Or if you know how to get them from geoladders or a gpx file that would be great too! Thanks. =)

Rode this afternoon and the downed tree has been moved or removed so that it is no longer obstructing the trail. Thank to whomever took the time to do this!
