Turnbull Group Ride, April 11th! UPDATE for new time!!!!

    UPDATE!!!!

The ride will now be starting at 9:30am. The goal is to be rolling out by 9:30 with this many people. Please do not arrive at 9:30.

Also, since we are parking on the street in front of various houses (think Aliso but worse), common courtesy Saturday morning is a must. We will mostly likely come across a hiker or two, it goes without saying that you may need to warn any riders behind you of a hiker coming up.

We will be in one group, as this is not a newbie ride. We will probably be moving at a decent pace until we regroup. There are plenty of chances to head back to your car if the ride is turning out to be too hard for you as well.

I'm in the process of updating the original post and PM'ing everyone on the RSVP list so everyone knows of the later start. There are plenty of people that have never been, don't know where they're going, driving a bit to get there, or will probably be running late.

If you are one of those people and might think you'll have a problem Saturday morning, let me know and i'll PM you my phone # and we'll wait up for you if you call.

    Nine Thirty! new start time!

Seems that there was some interest for this happening again, it's been too long. Time for another one!

    Saturday April 11th

    RSVP HERE!

    Who's in?!

Route to be determined but the 15 mile route of 7th/Rattlesnake/cow trail/a-line seems to be a popular one if it isn't too hot.

One of our last big gatherings there

Stoked, I have been wanting to ride Turnbull. I rode it once alone and didn't really know where I was going.

About 5 or 6 years ago we did a group ride there and almost 50 people showed for that one. And about 3 years ago we had 30+.
Turnbull might not be the most scenic trail/s but it's still fun.

    Let's do it!

Just rode there with some friends. The singletrack down Orange was a blast. Beware of some loose, rocky switchbacks on some of the other trails. Probably not the best hill profile for SS'ing unless you're geared accordingly for long ascents or don't mind hiking.

You know that there's trails that go down hill right? not just the fireroads you're used to ;) Everyone else can get away with whatever bike they want (i'm on a SS of some sorts), but you might need to bring pads and your big bike.

    don't forget to RSVP!
