:-k Looks like I've got my very own stalker. ;)

Thanks for the well wishes. A little over a month down, another eight to go. I don't think there is anyone who wishes I were out there more than me. Such a great group ride right in my back yard and I couldn't even be there. :( ](*,)

Looks like you had a little bit of a fall yourself. Healing vibes to you as well. Hope it wasn't serious. Healing vibes go out to Tara as well as anyone else who got hurt out there.

It looks like you all had a great time out there. Keep the RR and pictures coming. I'm living my MTB life vicariously through all of you at the moment.

Sorry about the wrist Tara. I would go get it looked at on Monday at least(I wouldnt go to ER unless its the same out of pocket cost). It can be hard to tell the difference between a bad sprain and a fracture.

Had a great time today. What a fantastic turnout--nicely done, dB  Just shows how hungry folks are for organized group rides. Really need to put more of these together. Great opportunity to reconnect with old friends, and no better way to meet new ones.

Thanks to Chewy and jasonmason for the company out there. One of the tougher days I've had on the ss...hurts so good. That second wind was a godsend :bang:

Already looking forward to the next one!

I rode turnbull today for the first time ever with a friend. Physically wise, it makes the fully loop look like bunny hill.

I had a great time on this ride. The weather was perfect outside. Had the chance to see people I have not seen in a very long time. I am also glad Phong came along for the ride so that I wasn't alone pedaling a 40 plus pound bike:lol:. I was unable to film a lot of things due to my batteries dying on me, but I was still able to put something together for this ride. Sorry for my crappy editing skills. I am still figuring out how this stuff works. Remember to watch in HQ.

Awesome day for a ride, great turn out and lots of STR folks both regular posters and lurkers. And somehow i missed the memo to bring gears.
I enjoyed the company of grandpa sweeping the very tail end of the group. And that cowtrail climb on SS is a leg/lung burner.
While sweeping with grandpa, 3 sslackers caught up, Ladd Jasper, Jasonmason and Chewy. Dell and Tim you guys are animal on SS, and chewy literally looks like an animal riding a SS. j/k

What a fun ride and a great turnout. I cut out early to clean my cut up arm, but I had a great time prior to that. Thanks for the assistance, Duke, Tim, Tara and JoJo.

So this was a great ride! I mean truly a great ride!
Nice to see everyone. The trails were in stellar shape. I had a few flats. Three within 200 feet(don"t ask):?:. Walked 2 times. Once to make Lee feel better and the other time cause I had a flat:lol: . Rippin the down hills was sweet on the couch, I almost took my hands off the bars and put it in full recliner mode! Climbing with gears was like cheating as well.
Oh I also got to see a crash close up and personal:bang::clap:. The best part about it Is did not feel a thing:?: Ducking for cover from Grace:wave:
Also Thanks to all the people waiting to see me crash going UP the drop off! Sorry i disapointed you:lol:
    Good times!

    HUGH

Great ride! I didn't plan to do this ride, and I didn't even know about it until 8:50 in the morning after I took Ko to the airport. I have only been to Turnbull once, and that was more than 5 years ago - I have no idea why I haven't been back! That place rocks!

Although having only 4 hours of sleep and no breakfast, I was done after the first loop. For some reason I remember easily making the hills to the water tower last time I was there, and couldn't figure out why they were kicking my ass. Later during the ride, I remembered that the last time I had my gearie, and today I had my singlespeed (32/18 ). I made the first two, but walked the third. Thank you Hugh for walking with me so I wouldn't feel as bad (I knew that when Hugh is walking, especially on a gearie, there are other reasons). (root beer)

There were so many people there! I arrived somewhat late, so I didn't get to see everyone until the gate, but I had no idea that so many of you were there! I'm sorry that I didn't say hello to many of you, but I'm glad I did get to chat with a number of people I haven't seen/spoke to in a while.

Oh, and Grace's crash wasn't 'her' crash - it was induced by someone else. She could have ended up a lot worse. I saw a number of crashes, most of which were a result of riding in a group - and mostly from following someone too closely. Keep safe following distances! Be careful out there!
